| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 4, 2009 Pint served at Bolingbrook, Il. to top off the Weizenbock tapping evening. Poured dark brown, with an average, foamy head, and fair lacing. Aroma was roasted notes, coffee, and a wisp of smoke. These, a little bakers chocolate and a steady bitterness were present in the flavor. No need to let warm too much! Dark, smooth, and drinkable. Good example of the style. nickd717 (1409), Palo Alto, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 2, 2009 On tap at GB in Palo Alto. Decent dark lager. Dark brown color, tan head. Very roasty aroma. Toasted malt, somewhat reminiscent of a rauchbier but not as heavy on the smoke. Slightly watery on the mouthfeel, but hey, it is a lager. Not bad overall though. daknole (3032), Scottsdale, Arizona, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 2, 2008 Poured from tap at brewery a very dark brown with large tan head. Aroma is mild with roasted tart/sour grain. Flavor has a burnt caramel and nuttiness along with roasted grain. The palate has a dry light malty feel with just a touch of sweetness. Overall, I like this one even ordering another. It has a good balance between flavor and fullness without being too heavy. 502Flavors (631), Louisville, Kentucky, USA
