Bottled as SommerBrau. The aroma is malty with some grassy hops. The appearance is golden with a large head. The flavor is like the aroma with a soapy finish. The palate is thin. Overall this is nothing special.

Draft at mission valley location. Gold in color. Nose was mostly wheat, corn, and light hos, same for the flavor.......ok.

Draft. Lemon color, hazy. fruity-light. Pleasing. I’m getting tired of this flight of beers and this one is scarily standing out as the best of GB. Probably inflating my ratings as a true beer goggle kicks in.

Pours pale yellow golden with a thin head. The aroma is light, oddly a hint of butter with some light sweetness from the malt as well. Touch metallic, butter, and lightly sweet... all with a crisp hop finish.

Bottled as SommerBrau. This light golden beer poured with a decent white head and a thin floral aroma. There is a modest pale malt base that is slightly sweet with a little hop bitterness at the finish.

Bottle as SommerBrau. Bottled 03/31/09. Clear orange tinged gold color with very little white head. Smells a bit papery. Less than medium body with coarse carbonation. Not much flavor other than light grassy hop. Certainly drinkable. Finishes dry and somewhat bitter.

Location: We have a bunch of these in the metro DC area, I think I’ve prob been to 3 of them, including the one in "Downtown Rockville" that I visit pretty often, I’ve had this one on tap there

Overall Impression: A very drinkable (but unspectacular) summer style beer. You know the type, light and refreshing without a whole heck of a lot of character. Worth a taste on a nice summer day outside, but I prefer the Hefe from here for that exact situation.

tap @ OTH Can I finally get a decent beer by this brewery? Guess this is not it. Pours golden, thin white head. Aroma, iof light malts and caramel, hops, grains and bready. Taste, malty caramel finish, hops, grains, crisp finish, some floral/pine hops add to a weird bitter concoction.
