From tap in Pasadena and as Summerbrau (kölsch) in San Francisco. Pours clear and yellow with a lacing white head. Light acidic and mild cornish aroma. Flavour is delicate hoppy and with a mild caramel base flavour. Light spiced and hoppy fruity to bitter into the finish.

Pours golden yellow with a bit of white head. Pretty hoppy. Peppery. Medium body. Dry, but not as crisp as I’d of liked. Just ok.

I sampled some of this beer at the brewpub. The aroma was a modest blend of grainy, citrus, and slight floral hops, without any of them really shining through, and a touch of caramel malt. It had a slightly cloudy golden color with a modest, foamy white head with average retention. The flavor had a light initial sweetness followed by a finishing bitterness; slightly grainy. It had an average body density with some dryness towards the end and moderate carbonation. Beer rating #300, thanks for sharing Siobhan!

Bright, fresh, and a nice citrus bite in the finish. This is a lovely summer beer, and in my opinion this should take the place of their Golden Export as the flagship lighter standard beer choice on the menu. It was very drinkable and very tasty.

They called this one Sommergold. Golden colour. Not much head. Aroma is fruity, berryish. Grainy character, low bitterness. HInts of fruitiness. Off-dry. Pretty bland.

On tap at Atlanta location. Great summer beer. Clear golden color with a decent white head that disappears pretty quickly. Toasted gran aroma and flavor with a little bit of caramel in there as well. Some fruity and slightly bitter hops. Too little of everything happening here. Need less water and more character. Chilled out my spicy food pretty well though.

Enjoyed at the Washington, D.C. brewpub with the brewer on his last day. A good bitterness, a good lace on light yellow. A little creamy. Average mouthfeel, and drinkable on a hot Washington summer day.

Draft sampler at Columbus brewpub. Sweet malty aroma, flavor and body are too thin--"thin" being a word that applies all too often to the beers I had at this place. Flavor seems to be in the backround, as if a good beer is trying to break out but doesn’t quite make it.
