| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 28, 2008 I sampled some of this beer at the brewpub. The aroma was a modest blend of grainy, citrus, and slight floral hops, without any of them really shining through, and a touch of caramel malt. It had a slightly cloudy golden color with a modest, foamy white head with average retention. The flavor had a light initial sweetness followed by a finishing bitterness; slightly grainy. It had an average body density with some dryness towards the end and moderate carbonation. Beer rating #300, thanks for sharing Siobhan! can8ianben (914), Pasadena, California, USA

This is a lovely summer beer, and in my opinion this should take the place of their Golden Export as the flagship lighter standard beer choice on the menu. It was very drinkable and very tasty. Grainy character, low bitterness. HInts of fruitiness. Off-dry. Pretty bland. jrob21 (1279), Atlanta, Georgia, USA

Clear golden color with a decent white head that disappears pretty quickly. Toasted gran aroma and flavor with a little bit of caramel in there as well. Some fruity and slightly bitter hops. Too little of everything happening here. Need less water and more character. Chilled out my spicy food pretty well though. Sammy (4065), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

A good bitterness, a good lace on light yellow. A little creamy. Average mouthfeel, and drinkable on a hot Washington summer day. Drjohnrock (95), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA

Sweet malty aroma, flavor and body are too thin--"thin" being a word that applies all too often to the beers I had at this place. Flavor seems to be in the backround, as if a good beer is trying to break out but doesn’t quite make it.
