Apr 4, 2008 Dark brown with thin head. Aroma of light caramel and a little banana. Taste is toasted malt and fusel alcohol. Not sweet at all. Really quite awful. The bartender told me this would be very similar to Guiness. That’s just funny.

Mar 29, 2008 Beer poured nicely out of the bottle. The aroma had a hint of a "vinegary" smell. It was not that appealing. The taste was better than the aroma. It had a nice malty flavor with a slight sweet after taste. I was not aware that the beer was 7.5%. It hid the alcohol nicely. Overall, not Gordon Biersch’s best but OK.

Mar 10, 2008 Seasonal draught at brewery. Dark brown colour with a small foamy tan head. Nice aroma of sweet caramel malt. Crisp, clean mouthfeel with a nice balanced flavour. Nice for winter but make sure it’s served at the correct temperature and not too cold.

Mar 3, 2008 Pours a dark brown, decent head that left a nice layer of foam, but little lacing. Pleasantly sweet aroma of malts with some caramel. Flavors were stronger, and also had some dark cherries and a touch of chocolate. Smooth, just a bit creamy, fairly full-bodied, this seems to live up to what a bock is supposed to be. Nice find in the supermarket.
