Typical Euro profile, but still enjoyable. DSG (1501), Tel Aviv, Israel

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 21, 2007 On tap at Bulldog NE. Pours very bright pale gold. Nice sweet and malty aroma with a hint of bready sweetness. Grainy and slightly sweet flavor. Minimal hops, but a nice amount of sweet malt. This isn’t horrible stuff. I could drink quite a lot in one sitting. HogTownHarry (4002), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada

I remember drinking this when I was underage (15) - I am very tall and could get away with buying under age, but I had no idea what to buy - I vaguely remember thinking this was very skunky and is one of the reasons I didn’t drink much beer for years once I was "legal" Clear pale gold, solid creamy-fizzy white lasting head. Quite sweet, very lightly toasty grainy malt, soft fresh grassy/floral hops. The taste is extremely light - sweet, floral, slightly mint/pungent in the finish - very refreshing actually. Thin body, decent astringency, very soft, almost creamy carbonation and mouthfeel, with alcohol emerging a wee bit in the finish (no aftertaste). I’m surprised, this is a decent can of hot weather brew, I’d buy it for my golf bag (if I still golfed). thomasacross (129), Edina, Minnesota, USA

I like Gosser, I think it’s a fine example of a Helles and it’s fine out of the bottle. Sweet and malty with a enough subtle bitterness that it still tastes like beer. This is definitely on my regular buy list. JesseM (666), Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, Canada

It’s not so bad, geez. I guess they can’t make the claim it’s "Austria’s Finest Beer", but it’s better than the alternative slogan, "Hey, at least it’s not skunky..." This is actually a very fine beer. Classic soft Helles feel to it with just the right amount of subtle malty goodness defining the flavour throughout. Nicely crisp when fresh and oh-so refreshing! At the price this is a very good product.
