| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Mar 15, 2006 (bottle - 12 oz) Clear gold color, no head and barely any carbonation. Sour, dry and grainy aroma. Fair amount of corn and stale hops. Taste begins with a grainy and dry hop taste with a slightly sweet middle and a clean and sour hop finish. Aftertaste is kind of bitter. Very watery. Mediocre at best. ALLOVATE (1126), Perth, Australia
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Mar 3, 2006 Unusual and delicate little lager this one. I wouldn’t go as far as calling it a Dortmunder, but it is unusually hoppy. Poured into a tall-boy glass, a thin soapy white head formed atop a clear, pale gold body, and took a good five minutes to become dense and trail fine lace down the glass. ’Now-you-smell-it, now-you-don’t’ aroma of mint leaves and nothing else. Minty, spicy and almost artificially sweet in the mouth; light in body and rather soft on the tongue. Biting, peppery and bitter grassy hops start off in the back and begin to dominate the palate and fill the entire mouth with a refreshing aggression whilst the beer is still chilled. As it warms though it becomes a little soapy and slick. Finish has more hops trailing off into a sea of mint and lemon rind flavours that linger after each sip. This wasn’t too bad a beer as far as light lagers go. Nothing nasty or unexpected, so it ranks amongst the ’lawn-mower beers’ finest. (33cL, BBE 05/06, Int’l Beer Shop, W.
