In my version just called "Gösser Beer" at 5,1% ABV. Golden, hazy with a fine, dense head that sticks to the glass. Unusually soft mouthfeel - actually reminds me of a Weissbier, but completely without the acidity. Some - but not much - bitterness. Very distinctive and different. 160101 Commodore (112), Ontario, Canada

Thin, crisp, and excessively fizzy, a bit like drinking lemon-lime seltzer water. Reminded me of something low-carb. JohnBarleycorn (390), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Apr 2, 2005 Typical yellow/gold lager with a grainy aroma, plus whiffs of alcohol and cabbage. Standard lager flavour, a little light on the hops but otherwise nicely balanced. A slightly metallic, slightly acidic finish. Your average, everyday European lager. gulf690 (21), Australia
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 1, 2005 Bottle. In the glass, it had a dull, flat look to it. Nose was typical lager, with a pleasant sweet malty tone to it. Flavour was average, though a bit light. Mid body and a pleasant, though nothing special, finish. Emil (6074), Copenhagen, Denmark

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 19, 2005 On tap in a very small, green pub in the Castle District, Budapest. As I supped this beer, in a corner, the bar suddenly became rammed with wine-guzzling, flag waving Hungarian pensioners, leaving me little room to breathe, let alone write! Still, good luck to them. A pretty plain lagery beer is Gosser I must say. Refreshing yes, interesting no. Unremarkable, though inoffensive, and nothing compared to the horrors to come. iambeer (255), Ontario, Canada
