Faintly bready with a noble hop character. Flavour is similar, a bit bready, light caramel with a decent hop finish. Moderate bitterness. Well made, if unspectacular. | 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 2, 2005 Golden color with a quick diminishing white head. Bready malty aroma. Mouth feel is heavier than I expected. Slight citrus and grassy flavour. A decent brew. KAggie97 (2434), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 27, 2005 About as middle-of-the-road as a beer can get... Hops are mediocre and give off a slight skunk taste, an ever-so-faint malt presence that needs to be a little more assertive. Not bad, but not worth going out of one’s way to acquire. pootzboy (1048), Hawgville, Ontario, Canada
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 27, 2005 1/2 liter can poured a golden-straw colored lager with a decent fluffy cap. Good lacing and the cap has fair retention. Medium effervescence. A pungent aroma of bread dough with grassy-mown hay hop tones ( very promising). Mouth feel a tad thin... malt backbone ( sweet doughy) does not stand out against the hops ( far too pronounced for a helles) which add a lemon twang to the clean finish. Not a bad beer but not enough malt pronouncement for a Helles and a tad much for a pilsner... Is this a pilsner trying to be a Dortmunder or a Helles trying to be a Pilsner? ...this beer has an identity crisis....not bad though. tiggmtl (4311), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Feb 18, 2005 Grainy sweet malt aroma. Clear golden blonde with shy white head that diminishes to slight ring. Grainy flavour with light floral/herbal balancing bitterness. Somewhat watery with very strong carbonation. Can. antisnobJP (275), St. Michael, Minnesota, USA
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Feb 17, 2005 Bottle. Slightly hazy yellow beer with minimal head. Barely any aroma, just some faint malt. Light grainy flavors with a balanced bitterness. No hop flavors to speak of. Not much malt character, either. Finishes about as clean as water. Could drink like water, but why? Perhaps I need a fresher sample. heemer77 (4303), Savannah, Missouri, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Feb 14, 2005 Beautiful gold with slow bubbles. A thin white head. Very light aroma of cooked green beans and some bread. The taste is a light and refreshing blend of celery with a hint of black pepper. Not much character here, but this would make a nice lawn mower beer. jde123 (715), Washington, Washington DC, USA

Very light and fizzy, but with a decent palate and clean finish. I order this one a lot, when I can find it, but wouldn’t buy quantities of it. I nice fallback.
