Bit of sweet malt in the aroma, and a touch of metallic hops. Smooth thin-medium bodied. Pretty bland malty flavour, balanced quite well. Very clean lingering sweet finish. Refreshing, and better than I expected for an "export" beer. - I should note its just under 40 degrees celcius while I'm rating this though. Crash (448), Macomb, Illinois, USA
| 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 4/20 | Mar 12, 2004 Golden in color with a big fizzy head that doesn't last very long. It had a light bitter taste and after-taste. Just not that good. Choos (504), Taylors Hill, Australia
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Mar 11, 2004 Aroma is slightly grainy that reminded me of oats but could be described as wet straw as others have rated. Appearance is yellow to orange and slightly hazy (not from yeast) with a smallish head that leaves a hint of lacing. Flavour is bland with a hint of caramel/sugar sweetness and bready finishing with a hint of hops but not sharp tang. JMerritt (1318), Macomb, Illinois, USA
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Feb 2, 2004 Gold colored, big head falls rather quickly. Wet straw/hay aroma. Bland, unoffensive flavor. Very slightly bitter finish. Unimpressive. MaxPower (961), St. Louis, Missouri, USA

It pours a clear straw golden color with a decent white head that doesn't last too long, yet leaves some lacing, light grainy and flowery aromas. Bready and grainy flavors, light to medium bodied, nice crisp and carbonated mouthfeel, finishes clean with some sweetness, I am very impressed with this above average Jedsbrew (465), Rhineland, Missouri, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/20 | Jan 26, 2004 Typical golden lager appearance along with a slight chill haze and a mild bready aroma. Light to medium bodied with a sweet caramely flavor and a faint bitterness in the short finish. Seemed sugary and wasn't all that good. Muggus (193), Sydney, Australia
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jan 1, 2004 I was almost fooled into thinking this was the dark by the very similar bottle, oh how I was decieved!
Quite plain lager smelling sweet malt with slight hop hints. Pours straw coloured body with fluffy head. Quite a bland lager flavour. Slight honey flavours, malt body, not really much hop action though. Kind of a metallic texture to it too. Definately stick to the Dark, this isn't anything special.
