Not incredibly drinkalbe, with a strong musty maltiness and bit of orange fruity acidity, mixed with a bready graininess. Boring.

Light gold with a decent fine head. Skunky, piney hop aroma, with some soft cereal malts. Sweet malt flavor, light hops, fruity but undirected. Ok, but not much happening. Not enough hops.

Draught Reasonably clean and crisp pale lager. Hint of hops on the nose, probably better than average for a Euro-style lager.

Vienna’s version of Heineken but not as skunky. I enjoyed it, but I would have enjoyed anything I drank while in Vienna.

Bottle - Clear yellow/gold with thin white head. High carnobation. Floral hops, a little citrusy. Little bitterness. Just another pale lager.

11/10/2009: Gösser Beer... Aroma: Sharp, grassy hops with a slightly metallic edge; very faint Eurpean pale/Pils malt in the bachground. Appearance: Transparent, light straw color; white crown. Flavor: Slightly dry, yet adequately flavorful; light, tangy malts paired with a crisp, grassy, leafy, and spicy hop bitterness; not quite enough bite and bitterness for my preference, but adequate (maybe moreso) for the style. Palate: Medium-light; crisp; low level of carbonation; smoooooth. Overall: This beer brings back some good memories. I spent 3 months in Austria during college and there was a vending machine in the lobby of the dorm that had Gösser. I didn’t drink a lot of this beer while I was there since I was hitting the Zipfer and Stiegl pretty hard, but it was always available in an emergency and it’s fun to have it again almost 10 years later...

12 fl. oz. green bottle ( 237/09 L101J.413:10 ) from Party Town in Florence, Kentucky. Rating #329 for this beer.

pours hay with a lasting big head, smells old and malty, like the bar soaked in smell, taste is light, bitter, soury, sort of vegetabley, body is on the watery side a little bit. pass, but drinkable i guess

Can. Pours a light yellow with a white disappearing head. Aroma of metal and hops. Tastes grassy, with a crisp finish. Not much malt. Pretty good for a plain pale lager. Not bad.
