Commercial Description:
Dunkles Starkbier. Enyhén vöröses, mélybarna szín. Élénkfehér, gazdag hab. Karakteres illat, amelyben pörkölt maláta, karamell és aromakomló keveredik. Finoman kesernyés, malátás íz. Testes és krémes érzés, harmonikusan erős, 7%-os alkoholtartalom. Az elmélyedt szakértelem és évszázados tapasztalat ajándéka, a barna sörspecialitások kedvelőinek.(from a little flyer on the bottle*s neck). In english: Deep brown.reddish color, white froathy head. Characteristic aroma of roasted malt, caramel, some floral aroma-hop. Fine sourish flavor with malt taste. Creamy and fine texture. Strong but harmonic with a high percentage of alcohol.(7% abv) The gift of the absorbed knowledge and the age-long tradition. For the fanciers of the dunkel-style.

500ml can, giant Tesco supermarket Hungary. Caramel amber body, offwhite head. Rich malt aroma; toffee, milk chocolate, dried fruits. Thick, syrupy body, low carbonation, sticky texture. Chocolate upfront on the body, rich caramel and prune, date and raisin dried fruits. Some spice and hop bitterness to finish. Beautifully rich dark lager!

Canned, Deep red brown color, with huge tan head. Roasted nose. Aroma is sweet roasted malts, nuts. Flavour is the same withalcohol coming through. Nice brew, but a bit thin bodied and alcohol stings out. Maybe could value it more on a cold witner evening

A Mes rate: Can at GBBF.
Dark brown with a reasonable off white head. A decent dunkler bock. Nice chocolate and liquorice, faint sourness. Good fruit in the finish. Not bad.

500ml can hand delivered by Frau Eva returning from her autumn trip to Budapest. Initial huge and densely head, with fawn coloured foam. Deep, ruby beauty in body appearance. Fragile, spotty lacework on the glass. Mild aroma of chocolate malts added by an herbal touch. Fine transition from aroma to the taste of grainy chocolate mixed with dark fruits. Mid-lived finish of dry chocolate malts. Surprisingly easy to drink. Quite joyful, without being outstanding (at home, Tromsř 02.10.2009).
