Aug 18, 2008 Bottle. Dark brown beer, creamy beige head. Aroma is very sweet, like a candy stick. Taste is the same, extremely sweet with a alcohol bitter finish. Some roasted malts. Way too sweet.

Aug 17, 2008 Far too sweet for my taste, with a sour aftertaste to it. Nice dark pour with a rich head and fruity aromas and flavors. Some berry flavor, honey, caramel, etc. Not my favorite beer--the sweetness is almost cloying, as others have mentioned. But I’m glad I gave it a try.

Aug 13, 2008 Brown with red hues. Off-white vanishing head. Sweet malty aroma, lingering from licorice to weak hints of berries and chocolate. Well bodied, a bit cloying. Nice but lack deepness.

Aug 10, 2008 Rich brown, tan head with very nice lacing. Nose is plum, raisin, caramel, tons of other dark fruits, yeast, honey, sweet heaven. Flavor is yeast, toffee, caramel, tobacco and dark fruits, rich malt. A bit of hoppiness comes out in the finish, along with more yeast and a very rich fruit pit flavor. Body is stunning - very soft, turning to ultra light bubbliness when it hits my tongue. Just wow.

Aug 8, 2008 Deep dark red with a microbubbly head that lasts and leaves a very appealing lacing. Roasted malts, mixed with chives and an earthy touch in the nose. Malty warm caramel and butter toffee taste wars a bit with alcoholic bite. Clean finish. The booziness is unbalancing, rather nice none the less. I prefered it to the Carolus Tripple which supprised me.

Aug 8, 2008 Bottle. poured dark reddish brown with a fluffy beige head. Very fruity aroma with notes of yeast, candy, caramel and malts. Flavour is dark fruits, berries, dark brown sugar and caramel. Great mouthfeel.

Aug 4, 2008 pours a dark red with a light med head. Aroma of fruit and some yeast. Very sweet taste with a light alco which adds to the flavour.
