Sweet dark fruits, candi sugar and some alcohol in aroma. Flavor is sweet dark fruits, plums, raisins, candi sugar and some alcohol. Smooth, warming palate.

Cork and cage - deep mahogany pour with a creamy off white head. This beer is pretty much just a malt bomb. Candi sugar, toffee, caramel, prunes, port. Dried dark fruit flavor - raisins prunes. A moment of grapefruit, abrupt bitter finish.

Really nice pour, dark brown with a nice bit of lace. Fruity, with sherry-like nice dryness that sets nicely as a contrast to the molasses malt sweetness.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy well carbonated dark nut brown, with a large firm tan fantastic head. Nose is sweet with dark fruit, plum and blackberry, and just a hint of alcohol. Taste is spicy- like an Orval. Sweet with a roast coffeeish taste and a bitter finish that lingers. Dry. Certainly complex

Pours mahogany with a small off-white head. Bready malts and dark fruit dominate the nose. Sweet but salty coffee-like flavor. The palate is a little thick for the flavor, and the beer isn’t as smooth as hoped. Standard.

Bottle from Sam at Stuffed Sandwich. God only knows how many years old it was, but it was aged to perfection. Dark, smooth, ripe with figs, dates, raisin, dark sugar, no roastiness. Tasted like a malt liquor cold-brewed by the Lord Almighty. Just the thing to cap off a pile of polish sausage and three mortal beers.
