Aroma of wine, caramel, and toffee, a little sour. Initial taste of apples with a smooth caramel body and a slightly sweet wine/alcohol finish. Very delicious and ultra sweet with no attempt at balance, but why bother Vas19 (299), Maryland, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 21, 2008 Pours dark amber with fairly thick off-white head. Nice sweet aroma with plenty of banana, dark fruit, toffee, and spicy notes. Flavor is lighter than expected; I figured that I’d be blown away based on the aroma, but I’m tasting a really well balanced beer. Sweet but not too sweet, with notes of dried fruit, caramel, yeast, and vinous notes. Nice smooth body. Very nice beer. gnoff (3560), Göteborg, Sweden
