Damn, I keep smelling candied circus peanuts in belgian ales. The flavore is sweet beyond words. Full bodied, but not cloying. Well balanced. Nice dark chestnut pour with a soft, silky khaki head. Warm, enticing liquor-like aroma. Hints of bourbon and brandy - whiff of molasses. Flavor is sweet and full-bodied. Pick up hints of toffee, brandy, molasses, caramel - it’s all good. Rich, luxuriant mouthfeel. Alchohol hidden well. Excellent Belgian - probably passed this one by several times because I thought it and the Grand Cru were the same - glad I investigated!
