Draught. Dark brown colour with huge head. Nice aroma of caramel, coffee, dark fruits etc. The same stuff in the flavour. Some anise notes as well. A great brew.

a welcome and ruby-orange denizen of the snifter, like a liquid cedar mulch, with proud tresses of oatmeal colored lace. lightly hazy with a ghost of micro fine yeast. aggressively arromatic nose pretends to be buttery bananas flambe´ in the half second before the flames consume the fog of alcohol. sizzling sugars and hazelnut apple puree´, a scent for sore noses. perfect carbonation and a cider sweetness are caressed to an elegant finish by the sculpting hands of skilled bitterness. thicker body and longer finish would nudge it to the brink of greatness.

Bottled(330ml). –Deep reddish/brown coloured, medium sized beige head. Aroma is malty, fruity (raisins, cherries, orange) and spicy with notes of toffee, chocolate and obvious alcohol presence with just a tiny coriander hint. Pleasant spicy finish.

Hazy dark brown pour, with a huge white head comprised of small bubbles, and nice lacing. Very nice nose. Fruit (grapes/ winelike,) hops, mellow malts and small hints of dough/bread. Grapes stand out a bit more in the flavor, almost seeming more plumlike. The wine similarity is there as well. Malts come out a little more as does the yeast and breadiness. Some spices; cloves and a little coriander. A nice rich body, spice filled palate, overall a very smooth beer. Very well balanced.

Bottle: Burnt orange, brownish, medium foamy beige head, attractive lacing.   Huge plum and licorice aroma.   Soft notes of other dark pitted fruit as well.   Dark and pale fruit on the tongue, both strong.   Soft licorice and even chocolate is present.   Fairly sweet up front, with a soft hop bitterness on the back end.   Fairly big body, with a moderate mouthfeel.   Plum, apple skin, minor maple syrup, and chocolate all linger after the finish.   I wish I had two or three bottles of this.   Simply delicious!

11.2 oz bottle. Beer is red-brown with a small but lasting beige head and lacing. Aroma of dark fruit, (figs, raisins, prunes) and maybe some apple. Flavor is really excellent with the dark fruits, banana, Belgian yeast, and sweet candy sugar. Notes of wine or sherry. Very complex with hop spicyness and faint bitterness. Very rich in flavor but remains light drinking with good carbonation in a medium body. More enjoyable with every sip. I may even like this more than the triple which is not usually the case with me. This is an awesome dark Belgian strong. Silky and delicious.
