Pours cloudy red with a quickly disipating tan head. Clove light fruity red wine, cherry, yeast, brown sugar aroma. Sweet but not cloying. Excellent follow through.Yeast, cheese, oak fruit. A little smoke? Gorgeous.

330ml bottle: Pours with a moderate, creamy head; heavy cookie, caramel, and yeast aroma; light, slightly piney hop, light doughy, musty yeast; overall, somewhat mild flavor; some dark fruit, wood, licorice, and tobacco flavor; warming alcohol; slight, late bitterness and tartness; what’s not to like?!

Murky ruby red body, with a small tan head. The aroma reveals raisins, dark fruits, alcohol, toffee and some spices, very nice! Impressive flavor! Sweet, yet its very refreshing, apple, spice, raisin, toffee and a nice alcohol burn in the end. This beer is quite remarkable... Het Anker is becoming one of my favorite Belgian brewers. Very good.

In the 330 mL bottle from Beertopia. Pours a dark reddish amber with a thick yellow-beige head. Produces an outstanding intricate web of lacing. The flavor is mildly roasted. Tastes of big molasses as well. It is syrupy sweet, not candy sweet. The aroma produces a subtle reminder of Testor’s model car glue. Mostly though, the aroma is fruity pomegranate. Has a very thick palate. The beer coating resides in the mouth for a long time. I think that I get a subtle bit of soy. This is somewhat like fermented pineapple without the acidity. I really like it a lot.

Huge cotton candy and bubble gum aromas in the aroma -- this stuff smells like the day I spent working a concession stand at a carnival. Muddy, murky, ruddy appearance with tinge of amber and lots of haziness. NIce sugary sweetness with a little acidic souness and plenty more hops than I would anticipate. Nice overall mouthfeel and a pleasant warmth. A very good brew.

Deep Ruby hue with a big foamy head. Sweet malty nose, rich fruit...plums, currants mixed with the scent of leaf litter on the forest floor. Earthy and yeasty with spice undertones. Sweetness dominates, almost a stickiness on the lips, rich and warming. Nice mouthfeel. I'm sure I will enjoy this even more when I try it in a cooler climate, not sitting here sweating in the tropics.

Bottled. Deep brown, chessnut coloured body with a fine, beige head. Sweet, floral aroma, generous and uplifting. Well round flavour on the palate, silky...really silky. Liked it.
