Buckets and boxes of candied fruit and a few minor vinous notes to follow the pride. Pours a beautiful thick brown like apple cider. No yeast what so ever in this one, almost like an extremely toned down sour ale. I loved it, and at a mere five bucks a 1pt 9oz bottle, I’ll be picking this on up regularly, along with anything else I see from Het Ankler. I am so impressed with their beers I wondered how I haven’t had more--so many more--before. smith4498 (914), Miami, Florida, USA

Taste is sweet and malty. Creamy mouthfeel and mild carbonation make this real easy to drink. One of my favorite beers from what is becoming one of my favorite Belgian breweries. The more I drink their beers the more I love them. bedainedebiere (289), Terrebonne, Quebec, Canada

Love at first sip, it was ! (Could I really be the first one to use this expression for anything drinkable? I never heard it but it’s cute! If it has been used often, I’m not dumb, I’m a french-speaking Québec separatist!) Beautiful reddish-brown color with a light sweet aroma. It’s all in the taste, with aggressive sweet flavors, ripe plums, with a slightly bitter finish. The texture is nothing watery, in fact it is very thick... And warming... And thoroughly delicious... Awesome all the way. A love at first sip that will surely be a lasting one! Imperial-John (166), Mississauga, Ontario, Canada

Very Belgian aroma, sweet raisin, grape candy, fruitcake. The great thing about this beer is the aroma tells you exactly what to expect from the taste. Sweet grape, raisin, fruitcake witth enough carbonation to remind you are having a beer. Alcohol blends so well you can be fooled into having a few. Have this one instead of desert. Storm (2685), Amager, Denmark

Toffee chocolate smell which mirrors the taste. It is a little thin in body. If the body was thicker it would be perfect. Malty Butterscotch toffee taste. Gets sweeter as the taste flows. Excellent!!!! It reminds of a rodenbach or a duchuos duborgois. A belgian red ale with a nice malty charecter. Sweeter then it is tart, yet subtle and very nice to drink.
