Bottle (in NZ), pours a dark brown with a reddish hue, and a large frothy head that didn’t hold on for long. On the nose we have some medicinal malt, wood, grapes and cherries. There is a tempting subtleness to the aroma. The palate is equally complex - very smooth, with a crispness through the swallow. The malt is chocolately and leathery, with a glazed fruit flavour. This is delicious!

33 cl Bottle. Storage 2 year. Beautiful in dark brown colour, and a dense brown head. Wonderful aroma of choclate and dried fruit. Complex in taste and hints of toffe and choclate and a warm aftertaste. Really a great beer.

My new favorite beer. Beautiful brown caramel color. Toffee chocolate smell which mirrors the taste. It is a little thin in body. If the body was thicker it would be perfect. Malty Butterscotch toffee taste. Gets sweeter as the taste flows. Excellent!!!! Tasted at Bieres & Compagnie 4350 St. Denis, Montreal.

Tried this the other night. It reminds of a rodenbach or a duchuos duborgois. A belgian red ale with a nice malty charecter. Sweeter then it is tart, yet subtle and very nice to drink.

small off white rocky head. fair lacing. fully diminishing. translucid thick dark amber body. aroma: moderate malty, milk chocolate, mild coffee, raspberry, ruby port, cask wood, honey and alcohol. if: moderate sweet and bitter. ff: moderate sweet and heavy bitter. long duration. palate: full body, syrupy texture, medium carbonation and light alcoholic and metallic finish.

Dark reddish brown, bubbly, with a thick creamy tan head. Very Belgian aroma, sweet raisin, grape candy, fruitcake. The great thing about this beer is the aroma tells you exactly what to expect from the taste. Sweet grape, raisin, fruitcake witth enough carbonation to remind you are having a beer. Alcohol blends so well you can be fooled into having a few. Have this one instead of desert.
