Body is hazy dark orange-brown, bottle conditioned. Aroma is moderately to heavily malty (caramel, molasses, toasted bread, roasted grain/nuts), lightly yeasty (cobwebs), with notes of plum, raisin, Bit-O-Honey candy, brown sugar, orange zest. Poured a dark chestnut brown with a small tan head which dissipated quickly. Candied sugar, roasted malts, and slight alcohol notes on the nose. Tasted of raisins and figs, dark fruits, hint of bitter chocolate. Sweet at first and moving to bitter towards the end of the sip. Medium on the palate and fizzy. Delicious beer!
