Malt, spices, alcahol and light cocoa notes in the aroma. Very mild and smooth flavour. Very pleasant. Malts, fruit and some light roastyness and alcahol is present. Has a great alcaholbitterness in the end. Yummy. skortila (2913), Bunnik, Netherlands

Palate stays in your mouth for days... (when you have patience) Great beer. cmilmerstadt99 (4), Stamford, Connecticut, USA does not count | 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Sep 9, 2002 Subtle warmth from the alcohol, nice complex taste like raisins, easter chocolate. Palate not to thick. Very, very fine ale. Similar in impression to Rochfort 10 kook (2034), Perth, Western Australia, Australia

Aroma of dark fruits (raisins, prunes), berries and chocolate. Very clean deep aroma. Medium-full mouthfeel, smooth finish. Lovely subtle taste of dark fruits (raisins and prunes once again!), chocolate and sweet caramel. Very well balanced, not bitter, but not too sweet. Very nice, and VERY drinkable. ABV is brilliantly masked. Top stuff! Sully (1367), Woolloomooloo, New South Wales, Australia

The chocolate malts and smooth creaminess in the nose are soft and silky with the contrasting creamy head a real treat. The first sip confirms this as the immediate mouthfeel is warm and chocolatey with the right touch of malt bitternenss. Hop presence is low but for this style right on the money. I vote for a category known as Belgian Porter. FROTHINGSLOSH (2036), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA

We have had it numerous times from a bottle and several times on draft at the Sharp Edge in Pittsburgh. Sampled from an 11.2 oz brown bottle this beer pours a hazy red/brown with a large tan head. The aroma is malty and very spicy. The flavor is malty with elements of caramel, molasses, nut and chocolate. The flavor is complex and changes as it lingers on the palate. beerbuzzmontreal (2921), Montreal, Quebec, Canada

Full body, liquorous texture, lively carbonation. Amazing stuff, this is truly a dessert in its own.
