Aroma is an interesting sweet: bubble gum, candi sugar, dark fruit, and caramel. Flavor is just so well-balanced, matching dark ripe fruit (raisin, plum, prunes) with smooth caramel and earthiness. It is tough to distinguish specific flavors because of the balance of it all . . . the finish is mellow, lingering, and entirely pleasant. My favorite amongst a group that included Abbey de Rocs and Unibroue’s Edition 2004, 2005. unclemike (833), Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA

The head was bubbly and white with good retention and lacing. Attractive aroma of yeasty bred dough, mixed baking spices and subdued fruity pastry. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation and a warming alcohol effect. There was some alcohol flavor accompanied by clove, dark fruits, dark toffee, yeasty bread dough, and hints of banana and flower blossom. Delicious. natejgood (190), Denver, Colorado, USA
