Bottle from Jungle Jim’s. Poured clear amber color with an average frothy off-white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate malt, yeast and alcohol aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium complex sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met with an above average brew.

Bottle. Golden with a small head. Aromas are brown sugar and pear with syrup and alcohol. Flavours are sweet caramel and brown sugar with some toasted malts. Mellow lemon with warming alcohol and peppery notes. Good.

Imported a case of this for the Toronto gang. A stong blond that grows on me. 2008 edition. Generous white head on golden that generates rising carbonation bubbles, heavy lace. A story of yeast. Interesting yeast, even somehwat funky and certainly creamy as the glass is downed.

Okay, so I bought this thinking it was the other one. Honestly I’m a touch disappointed about that, since I really like the other brew. But, this stuff is nice as well. I don’t think I like it quite as much. It’s definitely blond, where the other Keizer is not. First sip is sharp and biting. Highly carbonated. Good flavor. I’m trying not be be harsh here, and judge it on it’s own merits. I just really wanted a darker Belgian beer tonight...

Draft @ Granville Moore’s. Mostly clear lemon yellow. Beautifully soft white head. Moderately boozy nose, triple-like soap/herb esters and a high amount of sugar. Syrupy, oily, full-bodied, bite of alcohol and twinge of sugar candy consume this one. Very faint dry turn in the finish, more of an alcohol and brash body bite. Enjoyable but unremarkable. Belgian Strong rating #200.

Bottle. Poured a nice golden body with nice head. Aroma is light fruit, clove and honey. Flavor has a nice sweet honey, clove and some tropical fruit. Soft despite the high alcohol percentage.
