Commercial Description:
Origin: Gouden Carolus Hopsinjoor completes the taste pallet of the gamma Carolus-beers. Name: "Hopsinjoor" is a wordplay to for one thing the several hops which were used, and on the other hand the typical character of Mechelen of Gouden Carolus: the figure "opsinjoor" is intertwined with the history of Mechelen (see: www.opsinjoorke.be/Opsinjoorke/opsinjoor.htm). Kind of hops: 4 types of hops are used: Golding, Spalt, Hallertau and Saaz. These hops were fractioned at several times in the cooking process in order to keep a maximum of aroma. Regarding to taste we can say that the beer has a gentle, but nevertheless bitter aftertaste. Gold-yellow colour. Hoppy aroma.

Cloudy yellow with a medium white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, citrus, some noble and/or grassy hops. Taste is mildly hoppy, balanced fairly well with the malt. Belgian yeast, mild sugar, citrus and mild corn. Pretty good.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy light orange/gold with a huge thick, foamy, white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, melon rind, sweet fruits (lemon, orange), and a touch of citrusy hops. Flavor is light and sweet, lots of light fruits with a spicy and bitter hops finish. Full-bodied. This is a tasty beer! This is what a hoppy Belgian should taste like!

Bottle 25cl. Pours a nice golden/yellow color with a grandious foamy head! Aroma is filled with citrus,hops and some apple. Taste is bitter with lots of apples and hops and a spicey finish.

bottle. Pours a hazy pale yellow with a huge head that never fully clears. Aromas of earthy hop notes and a dank floral sweetness. Flavors are crisp and spicy with a lot of black pepper flavors. Thin malt sweetness in the background, but hops dominate. Palate is great- super dry and crisp.

Bottle. Hazy golden colour with a thick creamy head. Hoppy aroma with notes of grass, fruits and malt. The flavour is sweet, malty and hoppy with fruits, spices and a slight bitterness. Very smooth and tasty brew.

Bottle. Fresh fruity, hoppy aroma. Slightly hazy yellow orange body, massive dense white head. Flavor is spicy and very hoppy, plenty of yeast and some fruit. Distinctly bitter finish. Very different from sweeter and fruitier Belgian strongs, but memorable and enjoyable in its own way.
