Commercial Description:
Origin: Gouden Carolus Hopsinjoor completes the taste pallet of the gamma Carolus-beers. Name: "Hopsinjoor" is a wordplay to for one thing the several hops which were used, and on the other hand the typical character of Mechelen of Gouden Carolus: the figure "opsinjoor" is intertwined with the history of Mechelen (see: www.opsinjoorke.be/Opsinjoorke/opsinjoor.htm). Kind of hops: 4 types of hops are used: Golding, Spalt, Hallertau and Saaz. These hops were fractioned at several times in the cooking process in order to keep a maximum of aroma. Regarding to taste we can say that the beer has a gentle, but nevertheless bitter aftertaste. Gold-yellow colour. Hoppy aroma. 50 IBU / 18.6 Plato

goblet @ Tyler’s in Apex. Good aroma, sweet. Lemon, clove, corriander, bread, wood, like fresh chopped, not cask. Hazed yellow golden color, Small head, ok lacing. Bitter flavor, yeasty spiciness followed by citric and sour apple bite. Mild wheat. Medium body, lite creamy mouthfeel, bitter dry finish. Good brew, Aroma and flavor aren’t strong, but have a lot going on for them. A nice fruitiness came out as it warmed.

ZBF 2008. Clear yellow colour. Pale malty aroma with balanced floral hops. Big on the Co2 with good malt profile. Notes of vanilla and grass. Very nice hoppiness in flavouring and bittering.

Golden pour with a slight haze. Fluffy off white head and decent lace. Slick mouth-feel. Hops and yeast on the nose. Spicy hops and yeast. Resinous

Pours haxy golden with no head. The nose is hoppy and spicy. The flavor goes a bit sweeter, but is interesingly complex and enjoyable.

Pours hazy golden color with white head. Bready aroma with lots of floral hops. Flavor is mostly bitter hops with almost no sweetness. Medium body with lively carbonation and a crisp, dry finish. A good beer, but I prefer their sweeter, more yeasty brews.

(Bottle, 0.33 l, at Kaisla, Helsinki, on 2008-09-19) Golden. Cloudy. Huge white head that lasts long. Hops, yeast and coriander in fruity nose. Dry full bodied palate with medium carbonation. Hops, grass, coriander, grapefruit, fruitiness, yeast and bitterness in taste. Long lasting bitter and fruity aftertaste.

Bottle thanks to blutt59. Pours a clody gold with great thick head. Has a nice tangy, citris aroma. Flavor has a nice alcohol spice with a little brett, nice citris barnyard taste. Mouthfeel is light body with high carbonation, fizzy.....over all, very enjoyable.....!

Another bottle shared by robert at stateline. Light yellow in color, good head. Aroma was spicey hops. Taste was kind of spicey as well. Touch of hops in there as well. Kind of a hybrid beer, a mix between a saison and an IPA. The texture was light and easy to drink. Overall a beer that I was impressed by.
