Deep golden pour with a seemingly endless head of cream, minuscule, dense bubbles and froth. Taste is bone dry, a touch of warming alcohol under full pale malts with medium hinterspice. Touch of sourness under the herbal tones, controlled low bitterness, some nice peppery punch and rounding phenols. Very similar to my first homebrewed Belgian IPA, with less caramel and denser. swirling hop complexity, and a bit of brighter citrus spark soaring in the upper reaches of the hop stratosphere. Actually, alcohol is rather hidden for 8%. Very enjoyable, a nice showcase of noble hops in an often overlooked utilization.

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Dec 21, 2009 Pours a hazy blonde with an extremely thick white head. It formed a big white solid rock on top of my beer and now I’m wondering how to drink it. Leaves quite some lacing after it finally settles down. Aroma is dominated by hops and is of citrus and coriander. Lively carbonation and a wonderful full bodied flavor that has some sweet notes but is mostly bitter. Very well balanced, with the sweetness dominating the beginning and the bitterness slowly rising to a grand bitter finale. Long lingering finish. Dorwart (1828), Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 16, 2009 Very large bright white head of fine bubbles. Reduces to a rocky cratered top. Nice fruity aroma with lots of pears and apples. A little bit floral hops but mostly the gushing of ripe fruit. Very good aroma. Color is a cloudy golden orange. Big bitterness from the first sip onward. Lots of hops presence and grainy malts. Alcohol is noticable but not overpowering. Semi dry palate that finishes pretty clean with a light lingering bitterness. This brew is pretty easy drinking too once yo uget past the bitterness up front and allow the taste buds to get used to it. A very good brew froma very good brewery! The aroma was sweet, yeasty and fruity with notes of pineapple and fruit cocktail. The flavor was tart, bitter and a bit dry with an undertone of Sweettart candies, light fruity hops, yeast and a touch of funk. Complex and interesting flavor. The finish was long, dry, sour, fruity and a touch spicy. Moderately full bodied. Very nice. pompelmoes (69), Belgium

Hazy amber body with a superb foamy white head. Aroma of resiny hop with bready malt and some fruity perfume. Oily texture with a fine malt based flavor, but after a second the hop comes and rules the whole beer with their own resiny and citrussy character. Strong personality. The beer pours golden yellow with a medium thick and fluffy white head that recedes slowly. Aroma of yeast, grassy hops and spice. Medium body with flavors of yeast, melon, sweet malt and hops. The finish is dry with a banana and clove aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
