tarheels86 (704), Washington DC, USA Jan 7, 2009 330 mL into tulip. Pours a translucent light blonde with quite possibly the most enormous head I have ever seen on a beer- huge! Great sticky lacing. Aromas of bitter orange, lemon zest, pineapple, apricot- amazing. Taste is very nice: dried fruits, sugar, orange juice, spicy hops, and Belgian yeast. Slight acidic finish. At 9% this is truly a world class malt and hops balancing act. Very good. Roel (2), , Belgium does not count Jan 5, 2009 A clear beer with a nice light gold color and a well formed white head that goes fast. Lightly bitter, good drinkable, nice taste, not too yeasty. danekdanek (3), , South Yorkshire, England does not count Jan 2, 2009 Pours pale gold, with a light moussy head. Good lacing. Beautiful aroma - floral and citrus, with some fruit aromas. Compex, and very enjoyable. Has a light gold color with a nice thick white head. Smells of malts with hints of fruits and hops. Has a nice flavor full of yeast particles. A little bit of a bitter aftertaste but that is to be expected from a higher alcohol content. Overall a this one was a pleasant experience. hayduke (1620), Eureka, California, USA Dec 10, 2008 I paid $4.55 at the Northcoast Coop in Eureka. This poured a clear golden color with a nice fat white head and copious lacing. Nose of citrus and fruit, with some clove spice. Somewhat fizzy mouthfeel, but not unpleasant. Flavor is yeasty with lots of fruits. Very nice to drink. dirt55 (150), Washington, USA Dec 8, 2008 bottled, clear golden pour with a lot of carbonation and full white head, sweet malt aroma with mild spice notes, sweet fruity flavor with lingering sweet alcohol notes, almost no hops noted, nice yeasty palate, enjoyable. trevor211 (500), Seattle, Washington, USA Dec 4, 2008 Bottle at Brouwers. Pours a light gold with a huge head. Highly carbonated, almost to the point of champagne. Mild citrus notes, with a bubble-gum sweetness and a good amount of hops showing through, too. Also a bit of yeast. It has a slightly harsh palate - there is not a lot of substance to counter the high carbonation - but the flavor is great.
