Commercial Description:
In spite of modern brewing technology, this beer is brewed according to ancient traditions. It unites, now as in the past, the best products of our soil: rich barley and fine hops.. It's refined character, with a pure and rich taste, will captivate you. It is matured at length in cellar and bottle, and is guaranteed to be brewed only from pale malts. It is traditionally top-fermented and is 100% pure. The Gouden Carolus Triple has a unique colour and a full flavour due to its well-balanced hopping. To properly savour the Golden Carolus “Triple”, pour slowly in one movement leaving the yeast deposit in the bottle. This beer may be served cool but not chilled: 7-8°C is recommended. In 2002 this beer won the Gold Award in the World Beer Cup, San Diego, USA in the “Triple” category.

75 cl bottle in Kjetil´s wedding. Clear golden color, big white head. Aroma is fruity, spices, yeast and sugar sweetness. Flavor is sweet, a bit acidic, fruity, some alcohol, ok bitterness. Almost too sweet, but a very fine beer.

On tap at leons. Cut through my spicey, herby pork chop really nicely. Bright yellow, slightly hazy color. Big white head. Nice spice, clove, all spice and grassy herbal hop flavors. Really good carbonation dances on the palate. Medium bodied malt, wheat flavors.

330 ml Bottle. Deep gold with high carbonation in straight rising lines and a huge rocky head. Estery, spicy aroma with citrus, bananas, and cream. Estery, citrus flavor, with some peppery hops, something like wheat malt (corn can taste like this?), a touch of coriander , and banana. Very bubbly, champagne-like carbonation, yet rich and full, silky, creamy, smooth mouth. Rather strong hop bite at the end. Powerful, flavorful, aromatic tripel with great balance.

330mL bottle thanks to matt7215 at his place. Pours a clearish straw gold with a large white frothy cap. The aroma is very nice, sharp, berries as an ester, peach, apple, candi sugar, very nice smelling. Flavour is qutie sharp, sweet malty aspects with blended esters upfront followed by a peppery finish and a minor boozy presence. Very dry in the aftertaste from the underlying hops. Very solid tripel, though nothing outstanding. Thanks for the share Matt.

Bottle. Golden pour with a nice fluffy white head. Hoppy, fruity aroma. Sweet, fruity, slightly dry. An incredibly addictive Belgian Tripel. Het Anker rocks!

750 ml. bottle. Pours a huge fluffy gradually deflating white head, over a clear, pale yellow (SRM 5) body.....nose is spice, including clove, allspice, bit of banana, bubblegum....taste initially is minimally sweet malts, followed up by allspice, lemon, apple and pineapple, finishes dry with a bit of pepper with attractive lacing.....mouth feel is light to medium, carbonation very high. This is a very typical Triple, a style that I love, with all the usual spice and layers of complex nose and taste.
