Commercial Description:
In spite of modern brewing technology, this beer is brewed according to ancient traditions. It unites, now as in the past, the best products of our soil: rich barley and fine hops.. It's refined character, with a pure and rich taste, will captivate you. It is matured at length in cellar and bottle, and is guaranteed to be brewed only from pale malts. It is traditionally top-fermented and is 100% pure. The Gouden Carolus Triple has a unique colour and a full flavour due to its well-balanced hopping. To properly savour the Golden Carolus “Triple”, pour slowly in one movement leaving the yeast deposit in the bottle. This beer may be served cool but not chilled: 7-8°C is recommended. In 2002 this beer won the Gold Award in the World Beer Cup, San Diego, USA in the “Triple” category.

Wow, crisp abbey tripel! Pours hazy yeloow color with barley any head. Smells of fruits and tastes of fruit, malts, and alcohol. Funky good beer!

Sampled in Nancy, France: Came from the tap golden and with a very slight haze, and a white head, that laced nicely on the glass. Aroma was of spice, some banana esters, and alcohol. Flavor was the same, estery, with some spice and a hint of alcohol. medium and bubbley on the mouth feel. Excellent triple.

Bottle again from Belgian Belly. This looks amazing, a shining, clear gold with a snow white head and thin stream of bubbles. Like a dream advert for beer, clearly in top nick. Medium bodied and slightly fizzy in the mouth. Big fruity wafts of mango, passion fruit, banana and orange which are all present in the taste along with pineapple, fresh bread and sprucey hops. Good dry, hoppy finish with the alcohol well concealed. This is some good beer!

Slightly clouded amber hue with decent white creamy head. Orange and yeast nose which is also present in the flavour with malt amd other fruity hints. Not a great deal of after taste, fairly short in the finish.

Bottle, split with after4ever. Pours a cloudy dark gold with a lacy white head. Aroma of fruit with sweet citrus hints. Creamy medium body, light carbonation. Sweet caramel apple and candy taste that dries out in time for the finish.

375, capped. No foil. Pours a beautiful cloudy medium ambr with a puffy, pillowing, billowing platinum blonde head. Highly sweet and floral perfumy nose with lots of green apple. Medium body with some fizz. Beautifully considered nut and toast notes envelop those floral green apple bits to comprise the mid-palate. Long apple and walnut finish. Tastes like Christmas candy. Not anywhere near the cleanest or crispest tripel I have had, but a pleasure to drink and definitely beautifully done. I guess this just falls on the sugary end of the tripel spectrum.
