| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Feb 17, 2008 375, capped. No foil. Pours a beautiful cloudy medium ambr with a puffy, pillowing, billowing platinum blonde head. Highly sweet and floral perfumy nose with lots of green apple. Medium body with some fizz. Beautifully considered nut and toast notes envelop those floral green apple bits to comprise the mid-palate. Long apple and walnut finish. Tastes like Christmas candy. Not anywhere near the cleanest or crispest tripel I have had, but a pleasure to drink and definitely beautifully done. I guess this just falls on the sugary end of the tripel spectrum. Flavor was fruits, spices and a touch of caramel...even a touch of hops. Tons of action in this one. Scrumptious! asedzie (453), San Francisco, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 14, 2008 Pours hazy bubbly golden with thick, dense white head with lots of lace. Floral and lightly citrus hops in the nose along with doughy grain aroma. Flavor is fruity, lightly sweet, orange and lemon, some deeper fruity esters – apple, peach - hints of herbal hops along with crisp resiny bitterness, lingering bitter and very light alcohol burn in the aftertaste. Mouthfeel is very lively, bubbly, rich and textured. I likey. lucke13 (90), Des Moines, Iowa, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 12, 2008 Hazy golden color with a hug white head. Smells of fruit and champagne. Almost tastes more like a bittered champagne. Reminds me of eating green apples with the skin on. Long slightly bitter finish. I prefer the classic over this.
