Commercial Description:
In spite of modern brewing technology, this beer is brewed according to ancient traditions. It unites, now as in the past, the best products of our soil: rich barley and fine hops.. It's refined character, with a pure and rich taste, will captivate you. It is matured at length in cellar and bottle, and is guaranteed to be brewed only from pale malts. It is traditionally top-fermented and is 100% pure. The Gouden Carolus Triple has a unique colour and a full flavour due to its well-balanced hopping. To properly savour the Golden Carolus “Triple”, pour slowly in one movement leaving the yeast deposit in the bottle. This beer may be served cool but not chilled: 7-8°C is recommended. In 2002 this beer won the Gold Award in the World Beer Cup, San Diego, USA in the “Triple” category.

Pous a lightly cloudy gold color, with a medium frothy white head. smells of Belgian candy sugar, sticky sweet fruits, and some yeast. Nice sharp smell. The flavor was much the same, with all the standard flavors of a tripel. Not overly sweet, with a definite good dosage of alcohol which was noticeable throughout. The fruits seem to keep the sweetness at bay for the most part. Not my favorite style, but this is well crafted.

Pours a cloudy golden color with thick, foamy white head. Nice fuity aroma of apple, pear and grape. Very pleasantly crisp with hints of lighter fruits such as apple, pear and grape with a nice alcohol balance rendering it not too sweet. I enjoyed this beer very much.

Bottle. Pours a hazy golden yellow with some sediment. Nose was sweet and fruity. Head was big and frothy, left nice lacing. On the palet it was very creamy. Again very fruity and sweet. A great triple!

Dull muddy beige with some spritz and a thin head. Looks terrible. BBD in 2009. Very doughy nose is slightly spicy, a little papery. Maybe that BBD was a touch optimistic. Hugely perfumey character is all lavender and five dollar jugs of grandma perfume. Some dry alcohol notes and dough-inflected pale malts. Dusty yeast is also a factor. Gets a bit of icing sugar character as it warms. Can I get a meh?

Mild banana and spice aroma, beautiful head, golden and delicious. Floral notes and some caramel, plenty of yeast flavor throughout. A great beer.

bottle 11.2 oz. Hazy amber gold with large white head that shimmers and seems viscous & sticky. Aroma is spicey, mildly sweet malt, roasted caramelized sugars, Belgian yeast and some perfume, mild herbs with a floral trace of Benedictine. Flavor is medium body, silky smooth, creamy malt with the characteristics described in the aroma. This is a refined quality triple. Nice complexity. Alcohol is warming and noticable but not distracting.

Yellow with a dense head. Aroma of metallic orange peals, yeast, sugar and camomille. A sweet and spicy beer with a hint of bitterness.
