Commercial Description:
In spite of modern brewing technology, this beer is brewed according to ancient traditions. It unites, now as in the past, the best products of our soil: rich barley and fine hops.. It's refined character, with a pure and rich taste, will captivate you. It is matured at length in cellar and bottle, and is guaranteed to be brewed only from pale malts. It is traditionally top-fermented and is 100% pure. The Gouden Carolus Triple has a unique colour and a full flavour due to its well-balanced hopping. To properly savour the Golden Carolus “Triple”, pour slowly in one movement leaving the yeast deposit in the bottle. This beer may be served cool but not chilled: 7-8°C is recommended. In 2002 this beer won the Gold Award in the World Beer Cup, San Diego, USA in the “Triple” category.

Golden color with thick white head. Very light stone fruit in the nose and flavor. Some alcohol and a little bitterness as well.

27/10 0.33 l bottle at Hopdevil. Pours murky golden body with nice big head. Wonderful aroma of fruits with specific yeast. Flavor nice, quite sweet, not too complex though, but very full bodied. Alcohol is not really felt. May not be typical as it lacks that triple bitterness, but it’s still fantastic. Creamy texture on palate. Finish is very nice, sweet, pleasant and quite long. Another fantastic brew from this fantastic brewery.

On tap. Nice golden/copper color with dense white foam. Aroma of ripe peaches. Excellent lacing. A very enjoyable tripel that finishes slightly tart with peppery notes. Worthy of 2 glasses!

Very cloudy, verging on murky. Big white head. Aroma of spiced stewed banana, some soap. Slight sour too. Palate is sticky, chewy, and tacky. Flavors are pretty nice, there is some spice to balance the sweetness. Gloriously average tripel!

On tap, from old notes. Pours a hazy deep gold with fluffy white foam, decent retention and lacing. Aroma is fairly heavy on banana like yeast notes with some candy-ish sugar notes and hints of coriander and Saaz hops. Flavor is fairly sweet, good bit of banana, lots of coriander, very nice hoppiness in the finish. A very complex, if not a little too sweet, Tripel

Pours cloudy, tan, with a fine, white, moderate head. Aroma is spicy with citrus and banana. Full mouth feel. Very peppery, spicy, with citrus and banana qualities. Pleasantly, and lightly, complex.

33 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with a white lasting head. Small sediments floating around in the beer. Caramel malty aroma with a slight yeasty spice note beneath, minor orange peel aroma too. Spiced caramel malty flavour, somewhat astringent and far from as mellow as other triples. Finish has a rather warming alcohol finish.
