Bright yellow, slightly hazy color. Big white head. Nice spice, clove, all spice and grassy herbal hop flavors. Really good carbonation dances on the palate. Medium bodied malt, wheat flavors. | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 15, 2009 330 ml Bottle. Deep gold with high carbonation in straight rising lines and a huge rocky head. Estery, spicy aroma with citrus, bananas, and cream. Estery, citrus flavor, with some peppery hops, something like wheat malt (corn can taste like this?), a touch of coriander , and banana. Very bubbly, champagne-like carbonation, yet rich and full, silky, creamy, smooth mouth. Rather strong hop bite at the end. Powerful, flavorful, aromatic tripel with great balance.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 12, 2009 330mL bottle thanks to matt7215 at his place. Pours a clearish straw gold with a large white frothy cap. The aroma is very nice, sharp, berries as an ester, peach, apple, candi sugar, very nice smelling. Flavour is qutie sharp, sweet malty aspects with blended esters upfront followed by a peppery finish and a minor boozy presence. Very dry in the aftertaste from the underlying hops. Very solid tripel, though nothing outstanding. Thanks for the share Matt. evergreen0199 (259), London, Greater London, England

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 10, 2009 750 ml. bottle. Pours a huge fluffy gradually deflating white head, over a clear, pale yellow (SRM 5) body.....nose is spice, including clove, allspice, bit of banana, bubblegum....taste initially is minimally sweet malts, followed up by allspice, lemon, apple and pineapple, finishes dry with a bit of pepper with attractive lacing.....mouth feel is light to medium, carbonation very high. This is a very typical Triple, a style that I love, with all the usual spice and layers of complex nose and taste. Allen (1335), Switzerland
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 8, 2009 Bottled 330ml. Appearance: Slightly hazy, surprisingly pale golden with a small (for the style) creamy white head. Some lacework. Aroma: Inviting with plenty of character. Coconut, arabic gum, malt, lemonade, yeast, banana, bubblegum, lemon sherbet, rose, lychee and lavender showing up. Sweet. Flavor and palate: Very nice with quite a lot of bubblegum, raspberries and coconut characteristics appearing. Sweet. The alcohol is very well hidden. Subtle carbonation. Extremely sweet sticky finish. Overall impression: Pale appearance, small head for the style. Reminiscent of lemonade, coconut, bubblegum, lemon and banana throughout. Extremely fruity. A very approachable triple. LeMat (11), France

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 21, 2009 A terrific, authentic trappist-style tripel. Aroma and flavor have the perfect amount of hops, wheat, licorice, alcohol and sweetness. A little rougher around the edges than a Chimay Cinq Cents, but a really nice tasty tripel that I enjoyed a lot. Not too sweet like a lot of the newer, non-traditional tripels. You should taste a little alcohol...even though it’s well hidden, it’s good to know it’s there.
