Jul 13, 2007 Aroma of yeast, fruit very fresh. The flavor is yeaty, malty and has some fruit. Similar to a witbier, but it has a lot more to offer!

Jul 13, 2007 0.33 l bottle. Copper color with thick head. Sweetish and fruity aroma with orange, pineapple and some phenols. Sweetish and orangey flavor with herbal hops and honeyish malt. Alcohol is soft and warming, not at all sharp. Very balanced and well made!

Jul 13, 2007 Different not your average tripel. The cork hit the ceiling without hardly touching it. Poured a golden color with good head and good lacing. Lots of honey in the aroma and light fruits. Flavor had a lot of grapes in it and honey/floral to it as well. Very smooth beer. Eagle said like a mead i would have to agree.

Jul 7, 2007 On tap @ Chez Moeder Lambic. Pours translucent dark gold with lacy white head. Aroma is faint, but I think honey, oranges and yeasty notes are there. Initial honey-caramel-burnt sugar sweetness is short-lived, then comes the star of the show: an awesome balance of that sweetness, a mildly hoppy bitterness, and the alcohol. The bitterness combines with dryness in the finish to coat the tongue. An excellent example of the style, which is too often poorly executed.

Jul 3, 2007 Pours a hazy amber golden type color, nice frothy head, decent retention, good lacing. The cork pop was loud, and shot across the room almost hitting my wife (yikes!). The aroma was honey, must, candied grapes. The flavor was candied apples and grapes, firm honey presence (almost mead like w/ some floral aspects), wheat notes. No hop presence in the finish for a triple, and the yeast was also noticeably absent. Mouthfeel was smooth, honey/mead-like. A nice twist to the style, very interesting, not an orthodox tripel.

Jun 28, 2007 [309-20070510] Bottle (w/ jerc). Smells like sweet nail polish, alcoholic banana and some pine wood. Hazy, golden yellow orange body with a medium-lasting foamy white head. Sweet alcoholic flavour, slightly woody, some banana notes. Medium-full body. Blending fine but very boozy.

Jun 28, 2007 Cloudy golden yellow with fluffy white head. Sweet honey and nectar aroma. Taste of honey and nectar with a good citrus backbone. Semi-dry alcohoic finish.
