Commercial Description:
In spite of modern brewing technology, this beer is brewed according to ancient traditions. It unites, now as in the past, the best products of our soil: rich barley and fine hops.. It's refined character, with a pure and rich taste, will captivate you. It is matured at length in cellar and bottle, and is guaranteed to be brewed only from pale malts. It is traditionally top-fermented and is 100% pure. The Gouden Carolus Triple has a unique colour and a full flavour due to its well-balanced hopping. To properly savour the Golden Carolus “Triple”, pour slowly in one movement leaving the yeast deposit in the bottle. This beer may be served cool but not chilled: 7-8°C is recommended. In 2002 this beer won the Gold Award in the World Beer Cup, San Diego, USA in the “Triple” category.

Poured a nice golden body on top of which perched a medium sized white head that went away fast. The nose is lovely... bubblegum, banana, really perfumey, malt, some coriander. The taste is again fruity, coriander, honey, oranges, apple, candy, yeast... Lovely. Definitely not a by the book triple... Damn I love this brewery.

On Tap at Dopey’s Elixir. Strong Tripe with hints of fruit, honey and banana. Prickly mouthful ends in prickly finish. Somewhat tart. Very good.

Bottle. Slightly cloudy light golden color. Stable and nice big white head. What a Triple this is. Aroma is banana, orange, yeast and some notes of spice as well. What an array flavors with hints of honey without getting to sweet. Defiantly full bodied with a full sweetness to it with some light bitterness. Would really like to compare this to Tripel Karmeliet one day, think it is right op there next this it. Defiantly one of the evening’s big surprises.

A light floral smell yet slightly skunky when poured. A nice medium white head that settled quickly. A nice hazy gold look and full flavored for its class. Slightly bitter after taste. All around solid beer.

At first I thought I smelled a skunk, but that went away leaving a nice floral armoa. The palate is very evervesant. Looks a golden yellow. Overall a very nice beer

A blond-amber coloured beer with a fluffy white head. The aroma is sweet and malty. A sweet and fruity taste. The flavour is a bit too sweet for me. (Bottle 33cl aged 2.5 years)

Pours bright gold into a tulip. Bright white micro head slowly recedes. Sweet raisin aromas. Dry and tart with a lasting bitter/sweet finish.

Smells like a triple with just a little extra malt. Pretty dry, w/some noticeable finishing hops. Another nice beer, no. 27, for the list.
