| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 8, 2006 Bottle. Pours extremely hazy, golden in color with a thick white head that last. Looks more like a weizen. Aroma is sweet and spicey with some pepper notes. Hint of banana. Flavor: Very fruity and sweet upfront. Spices definitely there and with the hops, attempt to balance the sweetness, though falling short. Alcohol is warming...can taste it a little in the finish....definitely detracts. Overall, it’s a very nice tripel but falls a little short of being a truely great beer. I would drink again though. bgoguen (53), Colorado, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 6, 2006 Bottle. Nice soft banana bread, apple, and clove nose. Hazy light gold body with a thick attractive foamy head. Soft mouthfeel with a touch of alcohol and CO2. Notes of brown sugar, alcohol, floral notes, cinnamon, watered down whisky, warming going down, cotton, and a big herbal/phenol presence I can’t put my finger on. Very enjoyable, one of the better Triples that I have had. puzzl (2599), New York, New York, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Jun 6, 2006 Pours a cloudy gold with a nice, long lasting head. Aroma is sugary sweet and spicy as hell, yeasty with artichoke and beets. The flavor shares a lot with the other GC beer I’ve had, the Grand Cru, in that it has a sweet sucrose taste that is very distinct and quite pleasing. It is lively and spicy in the mouth, sweet but also a touch sour at the finish, slightly harsh but very drinkable. There is a certain licorice/anise flavor that shows up as it warms, as well. If I homebrewed, I’d love to cultivate this yeast and see what I could do with it. hammenlind (738), Sundbyberg, Sweden

Fruity flavour, with belgian yeast most present. Some hints of vanilla. Slight spicy finish. ratman197 (3182), Arvada, Colorado, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | May 26, 2006 On tap @ Falling Rock poured a cloudy gold with a lasting off white head {looked more like a Hefe}. Aromas of apple, hint of banana and some spice. Palate was light bodied and warming. Flavors of carmel, light fruitiness and a hint of spice with a sweet warming finish. glkaiser (1163), Seattle, Washington, USA

Mild aroma of yeast and fruit. Same flavors in the taste...very nice. Very spicy...a little too much alcohol taste for me though. Dorqui (1357), Brescia, Italy
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 20, 2006 Updated: Sep 16, 2007Bottled 0,33L. Much creamy and bulky head, optimal persistence and adhesion. Rather clear yellow/orange color, a lot hazy. Dense and decidedly impenetrable one. Much flowery and alcoholic scent; pleasant notes of wine cellar, dried flower, leaven and mildew. Pungent, wrapping, solid and much alcoholic taste. Rather sweetish and nearly balsamic on the end. Valid but with some excess.
