Un exemple bien réussi du style. stegosaurus (1882), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 13, 2005 Ive had better abbey triples, this was good though by all means, i expected it to taste a little better, but it was still good, id buy it again. SledgeJr (2957), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Jun 11, 2005 in the bottle. This pours about as dark golden as possible. The white head had little staying power. The aroma is like a caramel toffee latte. You can smell the sweetness. Flavor is a substantial malty caramel taste which is remarkably smooth and drinkable for a 9% beer. Not filled with the complexities of many triples. The yeast cake in the bottom of my bottle was like a hockey puck. beerbuzzmontreal (2909), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Jun 10, 2005 Appealing aroma of fruits, spices and yeast. Hazy orange pour with a thin white head. Very good flavor of thick malt with fruits, spices and yeast, the finish is sweet. The body is medium with a creamy, slightly powdery texture and soft carbonation. I wasn’t expecting this beer to taste like this but it turned out to be tasty and flavourful. Rastacouere (5551), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Jun 6, 2005 Deep golden. Big white head quickly recedes to ring. Massive honeyed sweet maltiness. Cough drops paired among floral yeast. Thick litchi maltiness, honeyed alcohol. Smoky and alcoholic as it warms like any Het Anker. Drying out nicely in mouth, but there’s too much malt to manage any kind of balance. A bit too sweet and fatiguing ultimately, but this is great smelling material. Sugar caney full bodied palate, moderately high carbonation, a bit too thick to be tongue cleaning. Thanks Clark! Miguel (1181), Saint-Ours, Quebec, Canada Jun 5, 2005 Ratebeer Mondial Gathering (tiggmtl). Épices, agrumes, miel, raisins, alcool. Levure présente. Belle rondeur du malt. Houblon bien présent.
