Commercial Description:
In spite of modern brewing technology, this beer is brewed according to ancient traditions. It unites, now as in the past, the best products of our soil: rich barley and fine hops.. It's refined character, with a pure and rich taste, will captivate you. It is matured at length in cellar and bottle, and is guaranteed to be brewed only from pale malts. It is traditionally top-fermented and is 100% pure. The Gouden Carolus Triple has a unique colour and a full flavour due to its well-balanced hopping. To properly savour the Golden Carolus “Triple”, pour slowly in one movement leaving the yeast deposit in the bottle. This beer may be served cool but not chilled: 7-8°C is recommended. In 2002 this beer won the Gold Award in the World Beer Cup, San Diego, USA in the “Triple” category.

From a 33cl bottle. pours a hazy gold with a 1/4 inch snow white head. Persistent head and persistent lacing. Smell is fruity and yeasty. Hints of sweetness and spice. Taste is much like the smell, spicy and sweet. Light hint of cinnamon apples. Sour and peppery as it finishes. Really smooth and oddly creamy (for a tripel) Really one of the nicest textures I’ve had in a tripel. This one does not reveal it’s strength in the body, though very flavorful. Watch out, it’ll sneak up on you.

Man,I liked the spicey nose from this.Has some sweet fruitiness to it but I guess that the yeast in this gives it a apricot/aromatic aroma. This is a little flatter in flavor as the spiciness is more subdued that I would have liked.Still a fine tripel.

#200! On draught @ Kulminator. Hazy golden coloured beer with a nice foamy white head. Malty aroma, taste is fairly sweet with fruity notes (pear) and some spices. Very smooth, full mouthfeel. Wonderful beer

Golden body with a touch of amber in it. Good size white head that left loads of lacing. Aroma of mandarins, spice and alcohol. Taste was soft and smooth, medium body, sweet but not overly so, and a light sweet alcoholic finish. This beer was easy to drink but at 9% you couldn’t quite have big session of them. A good pale ale ramped right up to the max?

750 ml corked and caged bottle pours a cloudy yellow orange with a nice off white head that leaves a sticky lacing in my glass. Fruity yeasty aroma of pears and apples. Sweet and malty fruity pear and tart apple flavors with a slight bubblegum yeasty taste. Medium-full body with a carbonated crisp mouthfeel, alcohol presence come out as it warms, finishes sweet, very nice.

bottle from brickskeller. wonderful. a sweet triple with malty, wheaty notes that finishes how i expect a triple to: slightly on the sweet side. color is light cold, a subdued yeastiness gives the beer extra body and character.
