Commercial Description:
In spite of modern brewing technology, this beer is brewed according to ancient traditions. It unites, now as in the past, the best products of our soil: rich barley and fine hops.. It's refined character, with a pure and rich taste, will captivate you. It is matured at length in cellar and bottle, and is guaranteed to be brewed only from pale malts. It is traditionally top-fermented and is 100% pure. The Gouden Carolus Triple has a unique colour and a full flavour due to its well-balanced hopping. To properly savour the Golden Carolus “Triple”, pour slowly in one movement leaving the yeast deposit in the bottle. This beer may be served cool but not chilled: 7-8°C is recommended. In 2002 this beer won the Gold Award in the World Beer Cup, San Diego, USA in the “Triple” category.

(Bottle) Slight alcohol nose with fruity ice cream. Orange body with little head. Burns the tip of the tongue. Caramelized fruit body with a lasting mild alcohol burn. So pleasant! Thanks Radek for brining this...

330ml bottle (Cracked Kettle, Amsterdam)
Opened with a pop, small foam snake appeared soon afterwards. Needed 2 glasses it was so full of head. Hazy straw colour, when the glass-sized head had settled - there was no chance to minimise the yeast that came over. Sweet fruity aroma - apples and peaches - at first. Pleasant pale malts come over next, then a touch of flowery perfume. Very light and crisp. Unbelievably soft palate, the carbonation that created the head doesn’t fizz in the mouth at all. Loads of retronasal esters, almost bubble-gummy in places. Taste is full, sweet, and soft light malts. Hops are very restrained, quite clear but not imposing, altogether pretty well balanced. Finish is pale malts and slightly grassy noble hops. Covers the alcohol very well, there’s no hint of any kick to this at all. Stunning beer.

Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm. Pale golden, alittle hazy, no head. Aroma is yeasty, andfruity from grapes. Some bubbelgum. Flavor brings that fruity bubblegum-feeling and then turns into a quite bitter finish. Some nutty notes.

On tap @ Falling Rock poured a cloudy gold with a lasting off white head {looked more like a Hefe}. Aromas of apple, hint of banana and some spice. Palate was light bodied and warming. Flavors of carmel, light fruitiness and a hint of spice with a sweet warming finish.

Bottle shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow, tupalev, Dave B. and R. -- courtesy of me. Pours a very hazy bubbly yellow with an average size fizzy white head. Nice Lacing. Aroma of wheat, yeast, lemon, spices and sugar. Flavour follows the aroma but with some added hops and lingering alcohol, it’s nice and complex. Light bodied with a lively mouthfeel. I like the other Gouden Carolus beers I’ve had more but this is still a damn fine beer.
