Pours a very nice deep golden colour with a huge very lively well lasting creamy white head leaving a very nice thick lacing all around the glass. Fresh fruity aroma with yeast, citrus, malt and some alcohol. Great well filling champagne mouthfeel. The flavour is sweet with a nice soft fruitiness, yeast, citrus, some spices, good hops and a well hidden touch of alcohol. Good long lasting fruity and bit spiced finish. GREAT! bierkoning (6085), La Tropica, Netherlands

Long peppery bitter finish. From the bottle it has a flowery, honeyish aroma. Tap: unfiltered. Cafe Morshuis Albergen. Lemonaroma, initial lemon and vanilla flavor. After that loads of hops. Strong long lasting hoppy aftertaste. The 9% ABV is not noticed at all. Pity the beer was served too cold.
Bottle, 3 years old: Vinous aroma with remaining flowery hops and orange. Fusel alcohols in the flavor, that is becoming like old brandy. Vinous, notes of sherry. Alcoholic, but still satisfyingly balanced. Nice!

33cl bottle from Utobeer. A very fine tripel indeed and for my money one of the best. Malty and sweet aroma. Dark hazy golden body with a well formed head and attractive lacing. Lots of sweetness in the flavour but never too much. Slight aniseed notes with a touch of toffee and caramel and also something decidedly fruity. Maybe raspberry. Alcohol shows through in the spicy finish. A very fine brew overall. thewolf (5805), Kolding, Denmark

Slightly hazy golden yellow with a big bubbly, white head. Aroma has a youghurt feel, lots of oranges, bananas, yeast og a floral edge. Nicely carbonated. Flavour is mild, slightly fruity - a little tarty at the end. There is no apparent alcohol, but there is a warming sensation when I swallow. A very nice brew - one of the best tripels I’ve had :o) bu11zeye (5608), Frisco, Texas, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 6, 2005 Deep golden. Big white head quickly recedes to ring. Massive honeyed sweet maltiness. Cough drops paired among floral yeast. Thick litchi maltiness, honeyed alcohol. Smoky and alcoholic as it warms like any Het Anker. Drying out nicely in mouth, but there’s too much malt to manage any kind of balance. A bit too sweet and fatiguing ultimately, but this is great smelling material. Sugar caney full bodied palate, moderately high carbonation, a bit too thick to be tongue cleaning. Thanks Clark! CaptainCougar (5520), Rockville, Maryland, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 18, 2005 Pours a lightly hazy bronze with a frothy and thinly-lacing white head. Aroma has a touch of vanilla and licorice with some bready Belgian yeast and a hint of light fruit. Starts with nice caramel malty sweetness, some yeasty esters, and a touch of peppery spice toward a dry bready finish. Hides the alcohol quite well. A nice tripel.
