| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 26, 2004 Hazy blond to golden body, with a lovely thick and creamy off-white head. Aroma is very complex, spices, banana, yeast, very peppery, some orange too, apple, lovely aroma. At the first taste, you cant really understand that its a triple, cause your mind tells you that this should be a dark belgian ale. But then the spices and the fresh yeastyness hits you, and then youre sold. A good alcohol burn in the end finishes the whole deal off perfectly. A very nice and balanced brew. Im really beginning to like triples and this one is magnificent. Another fantastic brew from Het Anker. TheEpeeist (1461), Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, USA

Lost a bit before hitting the glass. Clearish bronze straw with a huge, whipped white head that leaves copious speckles and swirls. Nose is yeast, dough, lemon-pepper and roses. Medium light, oily, with soft carb. Taste is lemon peel, honey, green olive and ginger with a dry, bready finish. SamGamgee (1457), Santa Cruz (La Selva), California, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 25, 2009 Draught at Brasserie Beck. Golden with a lasting white head. Spicy, dusty, and fruity aroma with pear and spiced apple skin. Some pale malt sweetness going into a dry and spicy finish. Light pear fruitiness and other yeast flavors add to the flavor, but it’s really simple and elegant. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. This handily routed Westmalle in a head to head. The alcohol is well integrated and masked, but adds to the dry and peppery finish that makes this welcome sip after sip. Jokes (1453), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 2, 2004 Hazy golden body with a thick, fluffy white head. Sweet, fruity aroma of orange, banana, clove, yeasty bread and some nice esters. Fairly full bodied for a Belgian. The fruit and spice are the dominate forces here. The yeasty fruit esters help these along for sure. Orange and banana and strong as is the clove and other spices. The finish is nice but leaves a little to be desired. Another fine offering from Het Anker.
