Commercial Description:
In spite of modern brewing technology, this beer is brewed according to ancient traditions. It unites, now as in the past, the best products of our soil: rich barley and fine hops.. It's refined character, with a pure and rich taste, will captivate you. It is matured at length in cellar and bottle, and is guaranteed to be brewed only from pale malts. It is traditionally top-fermented and is 100% pure. The Gouden Carolus Triple has a unique colour and a full flavour due to its well-balanced hopping. To properly savour the Golden Carolus “Triple”, pour slowly in one movement leaving the yeast deposit in the bottle. This beer may be served cool but not chilled: 7-8°C is recommended. In 2002 this beer won the Gold Award in the World Beer Cup, San Diego, USA in the “Triple” category.

Pours yellow golden honey w/ a huge spritzy froth leaving a small puddle of golden nectar at the top. Aroma is fresh w/ hops and sharp malt. Medium to full nectar w/ ample residual effers w/ a few streams of champagne bubbles. Flavors are rich and slightly fruity w/ banana gum, pine, honey, sharp malt. Complex and well balanced. Not too fruity. Slight alcohol on the finish w/ perfect bittering. Connoisseurs choice!

Hazy golden body with a thick, fluffy white head. Sweet, fruity aroma of orange, banana, clove, yeasty bread and some nice esters. Fairly full bodied for a Belgian. The fruit and spice are the dominate forces here. The yeasty fruit esters help these along for sure. Orange and banana and strong as is the clove and other spices. The finish is nice but leaves a little to be desired. Another fine offering from Het Anker.

On tap. Hazy golden colour, thick creamy white head. Aroma of sour fruits, malts, yeast, sugar. Flavour is dense, sweet, malty, some yeast, very fruity. Sweet-sour finish with a hint of alcohol bitterness. Very nice.

Bottled 330ml. Appearance: Slightly hazy, surprisingly pale golden with a small (for the style) creamy white head. Some lacework. Aroma: Inviting with plenty of character. Coconut, arabic gum, malt, lemonade, yeast, banana, bubblegum, lemon sherbet, rose, lychee and lavender showing up. Sweet. Flavor and palate: Very nice with quite a lot of bubblegum, raspberries and coconut characteristics appearing. Sweet. The alcohol is very well hidden. Subtle carbonation. Extremely sweet sticky finish. Overall impression: Pale appearance, small head for the style. Reminiscent of lemonade, coconut, bubblegum, lemon and banana throughout. Extremely fruity. A very approachable triple.

33cl bottle from BevMo. Dark "gouden" color with a small off-white head. Nose of yeast, funk, and banana. Flavor is yeasty and slightly sour with green apple, lemon, and alcohol. Smooth palate. Not the greatest tripel, but an interesting one.
