Commercial Description:
In spite of modern brewing technology, this beer is brewed according to ancient traditions. It unites, now as in the past, the best products of our soil: rich barley and fine hops.. It's refined character, with a pure and rich taste, will captivate you. It is matured at length in cellar and bottle, and is guaranteed to be brewed only from pale malts. It is traditionally top-fermented and is 100% pure. The Gouden Carolus Triple has a unique colour and a full flavour due to its well-balanced hopping. To properly savour the Golden Carolus “Triple”, pour slowly in one movement leaving the yeast deposit in the bottle. This beer may be served cool but not chilled: 7-8°C is recommended. In 2002 this beer won the Gold Award in the World Beer Cup, San Diego, USA in the “Triple” category.

Pours a redish golden. . . Large head, but it diminishes quickly and doesn't stick around. Soft wheat bread aroma, with loads of alcohol, bits of cracked pepper, and some fuzzy fruit - peach or maybe kiwi? Fairly heavy raisin malt on the tongue, but a dry bitter finish with some orange, lemon, yeast, more pepper, and sugary alcohol. This one was interesting and complex, but in the end the flavours didn't work too well for me.

Interesting brew. Cloudy dark orange color. Aroma and flavor both are strongly reminding me of wine or old port. A bit sweet and a small amount of bitterness too in the flavor. Overall a nice and interesting brew.

Hazy, dirty blonde. Herbal, dry floral aroma. Lively, meadow spices of coriander and green pepper, with zesty citrus flashes of lemon and orange. Banana eases it back a little with some conventional sweetness. Flavor is a slightly sterile warmth at first of honey and fruit liqueur, wholly bland and very dry. Peppery alcohol and overripe fruits with a type of stale citrus vodka intimiation that suggests the brittleness and obesity of age. Very weighty palate; mostly absent carbonation in this bittersweet syrup. Smacks of cotton candy and unsweetened vanilla coffee syrup. Chases hot. A slow gathering of dust on this probably once lovely triple, even in a short amount of time.

Pours hazy golden orange with sediment floaters. Huge, fluffy off white head. Nose and flavor is sweet and spicy, as is the flavor, with citrus and fruit sweetness. Very lively on the palate, and a finish that is smooth, and somehow just dissappears.

Pours a golden color with a medium sized white head. Interesting beer that has hints of honey, apple, and pineapple in the aroma and taste but finishes quite dry. Very fizzy on the tongue. Good stuff.

hazy golden with a white ring on the edge. aroma is juicy fruit and spicy as mother f'er! initially this beer is sweet as hell and it almost immediately numbs the tongue. there is only the slight presence of alcohol here. the aroma is just amazing as hell. also noticed a perfumey presence as it warms

Non-transparant brwon amber colour, with a little bit of bubbles. Slightly brownish head. Alcoholic, spicy (koriander) aroma. The flavour is also alcoholish and spicy. It starts bittery and ends very bitter. A litte bit sweet too.

Bottled 0,33L. Much creamy and bulky head, optimal persistence and adhesion. Rather clear yellow/orange color, a lot hazy. Dense and decidedly impenetrable one. Much flowery and alcoholic scent; pleasant notes of wine cellar, dried flower, leaven and mildew. Pungent, wrapping, solid and much alcoholic taste. Rather sweetish and nearly balsamic on the end. Valid but with some excess.
