Commercial Description:
In spite of modern brewing technology, this beer is brewed according to ancient traditions. It unites, now as in the past, the best products of our soil: rich barley and fine hops.. It's refined character, with a pure and rich taste, will captivate you. It is matured at length in cellar and bottle, and is guaranteed to be brewed only from pale malts. It is traditionally top-fermented and is 100% pure. The Gouden Carolus Triple has a unique colour and a full flavour due to its well-balanced hopping. To properly savour the Golden Carolus “Triple”, pour slowly in one movement leaving the yeast deposit in the bottle. This beer may be served cool but not chilled: 7-8°C is recommended. In 2002 this beer won the Gold Award in the World Beer Cup, San Diego, USA in the “Triple” category.

Formidible in the glass, and a hazy gold, fiery orange beauty. Tough to keep the head under control! Esters on the nose, banana, yeast, straw. An alcoholic bite, with diminishing flavors, that kind of leave a buzz on your tongue. I don’t mind it, but wish there was more hop and yest in the beer’s follow-through.

11.2 ounce bottle in Duvel glass. Hazy orange with flat white head and some lace. Yeasty spicy orange tobacco aroma. Sweet honey orange spicy with mild tobacco bitterness and lingering orangy spiciness. Medium body and carbo. Nice mouthfeel. Very good. I know this is a great beer, having had it many times. But, once again, tryng to get fresh beer around here in Long Island is very difficult.

Bottle, thick dark yellowish beer with a light haze to it. Very light and sweet (for a triple). A very pleasent amount of spice. Not nearly as yeasty as I was expecting. Lovely

Hazy straw color with a large, lasting foamy, white head. Excellent aroma. Spicy, hops, banana, citrus (oranges, grapefruit), floral, and some yeast. Flavor is spicy, yeast, alcohol (which was hiding in the aroma), citrus hops, cinnamon, and dark fruits. Creamy, spicy body. Very suprised by this beer that I have passed over again and again. Excellent.

Golden honey colored with a HUGE white dimpled head. Aroma is faintly sour with a sweet maltyness. Taste is rather mild, with no biting spice or cloying sweetness. Interesting grape skin flavor in the finish, and warms to apricot aroma and taste. An excellent tripel. $8/750ml

Think Karmeliet with a little more spice and a little less sweetness. Not bad. Lots of floaties, though.
