| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 4, 2009 Bottle. Nice soft banana bread, apple, and clove nose. Hazy light gold body with a thick attractive foamy head. Soft mouthfeel with a touch of alcohol and CO2. Notes of brown sugar, alcohol, floral notes, cinnamon, watered down whisky, warming going down, cotton, and a big herbal/phenol presence I can’t put my finger on. Very enjoyable, one of the better Triples that I have had OSLO (829), Minnesota, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 16, 2008 [Bottle] Pours dark golden with a big white head. Aroma is really lemony with a hint of banana. Taste is yeasty, with a good deal of malt, and a bit of coriander. Medium-thick mouthfeel with a long finish that is slightly dry. The dominance of the lemon in the aroma didn’t really work for me, otherwise a fairly good beer. drjay44 (823), Salida, Colorado, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 10, 2009 750 ml. bottle. Pours a huge fluffy gradually deflating white head, over a clear, pale yellow (SRM 5) body.....nose is spice, including clove, allspice, bit of banana, bubblegum....taste initially is minimally sweet malts, followed up by allspice, lemon, apple and pineapple, finishes dry with a bit of pepper with attractive lacing.....mouth feel is light to medium, carbonation very high. This is a very typical Triple, a style that I love, with all the usual spice and layers of complex nose and taste. Cybercat (823), Georgia, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Aug 14, 2009 This one pours an appetizing golden yellow with a very thick, fine-bubbled, persistent head. Aroma is rather strong, fruity, yeasty and malty. Flavor is rich and mouth-filling, fruity and malty with a yeasty undertone. Texture is delightfully fizzy and tingly, smooth underneath. Worth finding. keepersj12 (816), Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 19, 2009 Very nice amber with a big fluffy head. Aroam of sweet molasses and spices. Very nice sweet flavor of caramel, honey and sweet malt. Finishes very dry considering the sweetness. Good stuff. tarheels86 (812), Washington DC, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 7, 2009 330 mL into tulip. Pours a translucent light blonde with quite possibly the most enormous head I have ever seen on a beer- huge! Great sticky lacing. Aromas of bitter orange, lemon zest, pineapple, apricot- amazing. Taste is very nice: dried fruits, sugar, orange juice, spicy hops, and Belgian yeast. Slight acidic finish. At 9% this is truly a world class malt and hops balancing act. Very good. | 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Jun 10, 2009 THOUGHTS: Hid alcohol incredibly well. One of the nicest tripels I ever had. I always avoided this because I figured it would be boring compared to their other beers, but they seem to do everything well.
TECHNICAL: Bottle Poured a slightly hazy, medium golden with an average to large, foamy, white head that slowly diminished and kept a thick sheet leaving excellent lacing in thick sheets on the side of the glass. The aroma was moderate malt, moderate yeast along with fruit, spices and flowers. The initial flavor was sweet and acidic; while the flavor was bitter and slightly sour with a long duration. There was candy sugar, yeast, fruit, flowers, spices and a lot more that I couldn’t even begin to describe. The medium to full body was dry with very fizzy carbonation and a dry and light astringent finish. beachbum25 (802), Powellville, Maryland, USA

This one was a keeper, would age well, but it’s good now.
