Commercial Description:
In spite of modern brewing technology, this beer is brewed according to ancient traditions. It unites, now as in the past, the best products of our soil: rich barley and fine hops.. It's refined character, with a pure and rich taste, will captivate you. It is matured at length in cellar and bottle, and is guaranteed to be brewed only from pale malts. It is traditionally top-fermented and is 100% pure. The Gouden Carolus Triple has a unique colour and a full flavour due to its well-balanced hopping. To properly savour the Golden Carolus “Triple”, pour slowly in one movement leaving the yeast deposit in the bottle. This beer may be served cool but not chilled: 7-8°C is recommended. In 2002 this beer won the Gold Award in the World Beer Cup, San Diego, USA in the “Triple” category.

[bottle] Light golden in color, with a foamy white head. Sweet fruity aroma, with a bit of alcohol present. Flavors are fruity, like peach and pear, with yeast and some sweetness towards the end. Finishes pretty dry, with some spice.

wow! what a aroma, fresh peaches, citrus, hops, just perfect for the style. Perfect appearance, very thick head, pure golden colour! Taste is explosive, this is Golden Monkey on steroids after a night out! Very easy, but oh so good, perfect mixture of sweetness, yeast, malt and hops. WHERE THE HELL ARE THE 9% ABV ???? In my eyes, this is the definition of a triple, I´m very surprised that the top raters havent rated this higher, this beats Victory, Allagash, and Westmalle by a long shot. A gold of a beer!

Large head on this cloudy golden body. Excellent taste for a blonde. Taste has sweet notes, honey or other, citrus fruits and spices. Alcohol is well hidden and the general impression is excellent. A pleasure to drink. Finish is bitter.

As with most tripels I've come into contact with, this has a head that sticks around for a little while. Fair amount of carbonation. A little cloudy. Honey golden color. Yeasty nose. Dry and crisp. Yeasty still. Not as much in the ester, cloves, or banana flavor department. Not sweet enough for me.

330mL bottle thanks to matt7215 at his place. Pours a clearish straw gold with a large white frothy cap. The aroma is very nice, sharp, berries as an ester, peach, apple, candi sugar, very nice smelling. Flavour is qutie sharp, sweet malty aspects with blended esters upfront followed by a peppery finish and a minor boozy presence. Very dry in the aftertaste from the underlying hops. Very solid tripel, though nothing outstanding. Thanks for the share Matt.

Pours cloudy amber-gold with bubbly white head. Scents of bananas, pepper, yeast, and a dusty background. Dust reflected in flavor and coupled with sweeter malts. A sticky triple, which contrasts the dry character. An interesting tripel, but not one of my favorites.

Clear, pale yellow with a small white head. Sweet and fruity notes (prunes?). Taste is sweet with some fruit. Full bodied with a nice, bittersweet finish.
