Commercial Description:
In spite of modern brewing technology, this beer is brewed according to ancient traditions. It unites, now as in the past, the best products of our soil: rich barley and fine hops.. It's refined character, with a pure and rich taste, will captivate you. It is matured at length in cellar and bottle, and is guaranteed to be brewed only from pale malts. It is traditionally top-fermented and is 100% pure. The Gouden Carolus Triple has a unique colour and a full flavour due to its well-balanced hopping. To properly savour the Golden Carolus “Triple”, pour slowly in one movement leaving the yeast deposit in the bottle. This beer may be served cool but not chilled: 7-8°C is recommended. In 2002 this beer won the Gold Award in the World Beer Cup, San Diego, USA in the “Triple” category.

11,2 oz bottle. Served in a Delirium Tremens tulip glass. Aroma of pale malts and saaz hops. Bright golden beer with a thick creamy white head and sheets of lacing. Flavor is sweet pale malts and booze to start, fading to a hoppy presence with a mildly bitter finish. I love triples. Smooth, sweet, alcoholic and hoppy. Fruity and peppery, and a strong yeastiness. This one looks good and tastes good. A world class beer from a brewery that deserves its high reputation.

Nice light aroma. A very smooth tripel. Not quite as outstanding as I was expecting, but a good brew all the same.

Bouteille 330ml.

100th rating! [Bottle] Poured hazy gold with a large whiteish head. Aroma is spicy and sweet, with lots of bready yeast. Flavor is very nice. Typical belgian yeastiness. Perfect amount of spices and carbonation. Very light mouthfeel, and pretty much no alcohol detected.

11.2oz. Hazy golden pour with a white head. Spice and malt in the aroma. Hoppy and hugely fruity - apples, pear nectar, tangerine. Matching flavor - sticky and sweet. Decent finish. Nice beer.
