Commercial Description:
In spite of modern brewing technology, this beer is brewed according to ancient traditions. It unites, now as in the past, the best products of our soil: rich barley and fine hops.. It's refined character, with a pure and rich taste, will captivate you. It is matured at length in cellar and bottle, and is guaranteed to be brewed only from pale malts. It is traditionally top-fermented and is 100% pure. The Gouden Carolus Triple has a unique colour and a full flavour due to its well-balanced hopping. To properly savour the Golden Carolus “Triple”, pour slowly in one movement leaving the yeast deposit in the bottle. This beer may be served cool but not chilled: 7-8°C is recommended. In 2002 this beer won the Gold Award in the World Beer Cup, San Diego, USA in the “Triple” category.

Poured a hazy golden yellow color with a small white head. Yeasty fruit easters in the aroma. Some gum and light colored fruits. Yeasty with light alcohol. Lively mouthfeel.

somewhat overpowering for a long lunch, it needed much food. Floral hops and honey yeast and orange aroma.

Bottle (330ml). Poured murky deep orange with an average white creamy head. Aroma of yeast, sweet roast caramel malt, spices - a fruity, malty treat. Taste follows directly on, with alcohol and a little musty woodiness in the mix - sryupy, sharp and warming, moderately lively. Very nice, I like all the Gouden Carolus offerings I’ve tried immensely.

Bottle. Hazy golden body with a big billowy white head. Sweet boozy aroma is yeasty with light sweet lemon notes that are intriguing. Ephemeral notes of banana. Flavour of sweet pale malt, dry alcohol, fruity esters and light sweet lemon. (7+) Average to medium palate. Interesting but it is not my favourite triple ever.

This bottled brew poured a very large head of foamy finely sized off-white colored long lasting bubbles that left behind a fair lace. The body is a carbonated transparent dark yellow color with a lot of floating brown yeat particles and the aroma is mildly malty with a bit of horseblanket. The mouth feel is initially vinuous and it lingers into the finish with a mellowing of the vinuousness. The flavor is vinuous with a mild malt and yeast flavor.

Bottle. Slightly cloudy light golden color. Stable and nice big white head. What a Triple this is. Aroma is banana, orange, yeast and some notes of spice as well. What an array flavors with hints of honey without getting to sweet. Defiantly full bodied with a full sweetness to it with some light bitterness. Would really like to compare this to Tripel Karmeliet one day, think it is right op there next this it. Defiantly one of the evening’s big surprises.
