Commercial Description:
In spite of modern brewing technology, this beer is brewed according to ancient traditions. It unites, now as in the past, the best products of our soil: rich barley and fine hops.. It's refined character, with a pure and rich taste, will captivate you. It is matured at length in cellar and bottle, and is guaranteed to be brewed only from pale malts. It is traditionally top-fermented and is 100% pure. The Gouden Carolus Triple has a unique colour and a full flavour due to its well-balanced hopping. To properly savour the Golden Carolus “Triple”, pour slowly in one movement leaving the yeast deposit in the bottle. This beer may be served cool but not chilled: 7-8°C is recommended. In 2002 this beer won the Gold Award in the World Beer Cup, San Diego, USA in the “Triple” category.

0.33 l bottle. Copper color with thick head. Sweetish and fruity aroma with orange, pineapple and some phenols. Sweetish and orangey flavor with herbal hops and honeyish malt. Alcohol is soft and warming, not at all sharp. Very balanced and well made!

Pours slightly hazy golden with a large white soft head. Aroma is light fruits, yeast , sugar, bit of citrus. Flavor has some breadiness, but dominated by light fruits, some corriander, citrus in the finish. Mouthfeel is smooth, bit overcarbonated.

Bottle from World of Beer in Clearwater - this is a very delicious blond beer which I was expecting - very sweet malty - balanced spices and very good through and through

330 ml. Cloudy, orange-amber with a large meringue head that leaves sheets of lacing. Aroma is rich fruitcake (with icing). Flavor is similar: dense brandy-rum cake with raisins, lemon, apples, and dates. Nice balance from subtle earthy notes of sourish leather and woody herbs. Well-blended balance of big flavors; the richness pitted against the dryness of the yeast, hops, and alcohol. Medium body is mostly smooth and dry.

Bright, but hazy golden color with lot of bubbles and extremely well-formed fluffy white head, that provides a massively cohesive lacing. The aroma is full of wonderful peppery coriander and aromatic hops. The flavor is also full of citruses and mild hop resin oils. A few atributes that i can say is coriander, honey malts, pine oil, orange peel and a lot of citruses of course. A finish is more on the sweet, malty side. A lot more easier bodied one than expected. Amazing in it’s own style, reminiscent Tripel Karmeliet and maybe a bit more flavorful?? I don’t know but i’ll research it.

I tried this beer on April 25, 2008 at "Smokeless Joe’s" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a solid orangy-gold colour with a very thin white head. The aroma was that of sweet malt and some yeast. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied, and highly carbonated. The flavour was candied malt, some hoppy grapefruity hints, and a little more yeast. A very good beer.

Very nice fruit aroma. Great flavor with nice spice character and a good yeast flavor. Alcohol is very noticiblen but it has a nice full body that makes it a very nice treat.
