Commercial Description:
In spite of modern brewing technology, this beer is brewed according to ancient traditions. It unites, now as in the past, the best products of our soil: rich barley and fine hops.. It's refined character, with a pure and rich taste, will captivate you. It is matured at length in cellar and bottle, and is guaranteed to be brewed only from pale malts. It is traditionally top-fermented and is 100% pure. The Gouden Carolus Triple has a unique colour and a full flavour due to its well-balanced hopping. To properly savour the Golden Carolus “Triple”, pour slowly in one movement leaving the yeast deposit in the bottle. This beer may be served cool but not chilled: 7-8°C is recommended. In 2002 this beer won the Gold Award in the World Beer Cup, San Diego, USA in the “Triple” category.

33 cl Botlle. Yeast in bottom. Golden colour with a fast disappearing head. Very delicate aroma, of some gym or candy. Big mouthful of malt, sweetness, spices and end up winery, what a great taste, a very good tripel.

750ml bottle. Pours a slightly hazy pale yellow, with a thin quarter inch head that slowly fades away to nothing, leaving behind only small traces of lacing. Smell; very yeasty, with bananas and a little citrus. There’s also some nice bready malts with a touch of peppery spices. Taste; as with the aroma, the yeasts are right up front in the flavor of this one. The fruits are present with bananas and some citrus, with a little bit of peaches thrown in. Even with those fruits, they don’t become overwhelming, which I sometimes have a prolem with. Some candied sugar and bread dough malts come out in the finish. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, and seems to fit this beer very well, with a very nice drinkability

Hazy yellow with a medium white head. Yeasty, fruity aroma. Complex fruity flavor that is reminiscent of the other, darker Gouden Carolus ales. Some saltiness in the finish. Very good.

Hazy straw color with a large, lasting foamy, white head. Excellent aroma. Spicy, hops, banana, citrus (oranges, grapefruit), floral, and some yeast. Flavor is spicy, yeast, alcohol (which was hiding in the aroma), citrus hops, cinnamon, and dark fruits. Creamy, spicy body. Very suprised by this beer that I have passed over again and again. Excellent.

Pours a nice slightly hazy golden color. nice slightly hopped arome with hints of candi sugar, ripe citrus fruit and slight spice. the flavor is great with a nice tripel sweetness and spice, but there is a nice hoppiness from the dry-hopping. I love this freaking beer.

Bottle, 33 cl. Hazy golden with white head. Sweet and tart aroma with candy, yeast, some spiciness. Interesting flavors. Fast, sweet, spicy, dry finish. Taste the strong alcohol.

Cask at the Rake with Reakt, 9th April 2008. This is a cracking tripel - it doesn’t do anything unexpected, it simply does the style very well. Cloudy orange colour, honey aroma and a perfect balance of honey, wheat and hops in the taste, accentuated by some fruit hints. The palate is perfect, the beer feeling soft on the tongue and the taste lingering for you to enjoy.
